Vaibhav was now completely in love. All he could think about was Pranjali. Each time he met her, his courage failed him. All his attempts to try to convey his thoughts were everything but a success. You know that thing about Cupid. His arrows don't miss their mark. Each day in Vaibhav's life was a long one. Little did he know, that on the other hand, Pranjali too, had the same feelings for him. She too, had a tough time without him. The number of flower petals, (indicating the typical 'Love me' or 'love me not' technique of knowing your chances) lying on her study table were more than the number of messages she got each day. She never felt like replying to anyone else but Vaibhav. People at the institute, too had noticed this change, but no one tried to ask her. Pranjali's love for Vaibhav became uncontrollable. Finally she decided to confess it to her best friend, Saiyukta. Saiyukta was like her sister. They were childhood friends and quite the inseparable types. Saiyukta Sharma was a renowned poet. Perfect person for sending a love message. When Pranjali told Saiyukta about her crush on Vaibhav, she was surprised as well as happy. Friends as they were, each friend, especially a best buddy, is a true rascal. Each day, since then, Saiyukta began to tease Pranjali, making life difficult for Pranjali. Messages like, "How's Prince charming?" or "Where are you? Looks like you're with Him. Shouldn't disturb you... ;D"... Were enough to make Pranjali's face blush like a tomato. Nevertheless, she asked Saiyukta for help, and Saiyukta set to work. Poor Vaibhav! Spending many a sleepless nights thinking about how he would speak out his heart. He hadn't been doing much research recently, thanks to his newly found love. He was figuring out (calculating would be more appropriate) all possible ways to get his message conveyed. A week passed and finally both of them met. The University management had convened a conference, wherein it was decided that Pranjali would be Vaibhav's apprentice till he would be teaching at the University." Perfect!", thought Vaibhav, "Finally, I'll get to spend some time with her. Will surely help know each other better." Pranjali, too, was thinking on similar lines. Both of them gladly agreed to the management's decision and shook hands. Little did they know, that this hand shake was a preface to their eternal love and that there was more waiting for them in store. To Vaibhav, it seemed to be decades since he got a good night sleep. He dreamt about him and Pranjali together. But suddenly in his dreams, he saw some explosions followed by the sound of gushing water, and people crying out for help. He awoke with a start to find himself in his room. It was 4:30 a.m. He was worried about this vision. All his visions in the past, proved to be real, except for a few, where he saw his school teacher pole dancing, and himself sitting on a cloud. All went on well at the University. He tried his best to be noble and polite while talking to Pranjali. She too didn't try to be obvious that she was in love with him. His dream, however, still troubled him. But as of now, his focus was fixed on the love of his life...

Saiyukta was trying to be as simple as possible, but her poetic brainchild, was the resulting poem:

'Pick up your phone,

When you hear the ringtone,

The next call might just change your life.

The news is fresh and new,

Like the grass and the drops of dew.

The next day might just change your life.

Love is around in the park,

With some fire and misty sparks,

The next walk might just change your life.

Try not be harsh,

My love is not so sparse,

I await your answer,

In Marks & Spencer. '
