I was holding Kenzie to me and looking up into the stars still on the bench when Julian sat next to me. I got up and walked inside and laid Kenzie down on our bed. 

I quietly shut the door and was pulled back outside by Julian. I ripped my wrist out of his grasp and turned to face him with an angry expression. 

"What do you want now?"

"You were always good enough for me Scar. I was just to stupid to realize it and I'm so sorry. I'm using everything against you and I'm so wrong in everything. I know everything is my fault but after you left I realized what I did. I want you back. I want to be the happy family."

"Bullshit Julian! Maybe I'd stop being pissed off at you if you'd stop trying to get into my pants! I'm tired of this already and it hasn't even been a day yet! You have no fucking idea what I went through okay! I know you didn't just sleep with her 2 when you were drunk! I feel every time you fuck some girl!

Start telling the fucking truth and maybe we can be in the same room without me wanting to slap you across the face!" I yelled at him before standing there and breathing heavily in anger.

He was about to speak but he shut his mouth. He turned his head to see 2 people standing there. I watched as his eyes widened.

"Mom...Dad."

My anger was crushed when I heard my baby scream. I ran inside and was up in the room in seconds. There Kenzie was kicking and screaming in bed. Having a horrible nightmare. 

I grabbed a hold her her arms. "McKenzie baby it's a bad dream. McKenzie!" Her glossy blue eyes met mine and she started sobbing and I held her to me and laid us both down in the bed. "It was just a bad dream baby. Mommy's here now."

She stopped crying and her even breathing sounded through my alert ears. I was aware of the eyes on me but I didn't care. My mind was on McKenzie.

I looked up to meet their eyes. I tried to get up but Kenz grabbed my shirt in her tiny fists letting out a small whimper. I met their eyes again.

"We'll talk in the morning." Julians mom whispered and his parents left leaving Julian who was looking at Kenzie with a frown.

"Do those happen a lot." He whispered.

I nodded.

"Your....Your not gonna leave with her so I can't see her are you?" He asked with sad eyes. 

"Julian I may not want to be here but McKenzie needs you."

"I don't know about that. I made her cry Scar. I don't want to ever make her cry again."

"It hit her hard Julian you gotta understand that she had her dreams set on us being together when she learned that she had a dad. She always see's her friends parents hugging and kissing and waving goodbye to her friends. She never had that so when you did that to someone who wasn't me she knew it wasn't gonna happen."

"It could st-"

"No Julian. I'm sorry but no."

He nodded. "Goodnight Scar."

"Night." I said back and he left.

This next month was way better than last. Me and Kenz were adapting and she still had nightmares but she was getting better. I had gone back with a warrior wolf for sell my house and get the rest of mine and Kenzie's stuff. 

The harder stuff had gotten shipped here so now Kenz had her own room and so did I. Julian and Kenzie are a lot closer now and Kenz has made so many new friends. 

This feels so much like home but it also feel's like something's missing...
