The Date part 4

Nanami pov-
Sota had put his arm around me but I wasn't going to stop him.in fact I kind of liked it. Wait.. what am I thinking I shouldn't feel comfortable with this .. Or should I? "Nanami are you okay? You seem to be daydreaming." Sota said while taking his arm off. I felt a little disappointed when he took his arm off... I began to speak "om no I'm fine I was just thinking what are we going to do on this date." Wait why did i say date? I covered my mouth instantly. I can't believe I said that. I'm probably blushing. "Woah Nanami I didn't know this was a date." I felt embarrassed "well.. It just came out I didn't mean to-" Sota put his face near my ear and began to speak "Nanami I don't mind if this is a date."
I'm not sure what it was if it was his soothing voice or him being close to me but it made me a little uneasy but in a good way. It also made me blush. "You know Nanami your cute when you blush." Sota said while grabing my hand and beginning to walk. I couldn't help but just go along with him. His hand felt comfortable in my hand. "So Nanami I was thinking maybe we could grab something to eat." "sounds great." Sota had finally found a restaurant. it wasn't to formal but it wasn't bad. It was casual. We both walked in. Hand in hand. Once we got our tables we started to have a conversation. Sota started "so Nanami what's the deal with you and tomoe? You guys live together?" I totally forgot that he saw Tomoe when he came to pick me up. I had to come up with something to say. "Oh that's nothing. Its just my family is friends with his family and one day my dad decided to leave so then tomoes dad let me stay with them." hopefully it's believable. I heard a hm from Sota which was a little confusing. I couldn't help but wonder if he fell for it. So i decided to ask him a question. "So what's your situation" that question seems a little unclear but I think he got what I was trying to say." well as you can tell I barely moved here. And I live with my mother but my father is in america due to work. However he will come over here once his line of work tranfers him over here." I smiled when he finished explaining. Finally the waiter had arrived and asked what we wanted and I quickly scanned the menu. I asked for the burger and fries. That's when Sota said I will order what the lady is ordering. It kind of took me by shock when he called me a lady but I liked it.
The waiter gather the menus and left. While we waited we were playing 20 questions and I found out that he doesn't like shiitake mushrooms. It was fun hanging out with Sota. The waiter had interrupted our conversation and put the food on our table. It looked delicious. Sota had dug in to his food. He looked cute when he was eating. He had took a bite of the fries and he insisted on me trying one. "Wow. Try one Nanami. Here take a bite." he said while waving the fry in my face. He was trying to feed me. I took a bite of the fry and I had to agree with Sota It was good. I kept eating and apparently I had crumbs on my face. So Sota licked his thumb then wiped the crumbs off my face. I couldn't help but think how this felt. It gave me a warm feeling. I liked the feeling of someone who treated me nice unlike some people. In fact I might go out with Sota again. Once we finished our lunch we headed to the park. We walked past the nice scenery. "Um Nanami I had fun today and I heard that the schools having a school festival next week. So I wanted to ask if you wanted to go with me." Sota said. I noticed that he was blushing a bit which was weird because he seems like a guy that's always cool. It was kind of refreshing to see him like this. So if course I had to say yes. Sota looked happy when I told him yes. Hopefully tomoe won't mind if I got out. I know I'm supposed to fufill my land God duties but I also want to live a somewhat average life. I felt something hold my hand. I looked at my hand and saw that it was Sota. This feeling of me being close to him gives me an enjoyable feeling. I kept smiling while me and Sota hand to hand kept strolling by the park. I was still unclear why I just went with along with Sota's affection towards me. I mean I was still in love with tomoe right?.. So why is it that I'm opening to Sota right away. I'm not even sure but I do know that I feel comfortable when I'm with Sota. We were walking on a little bridge when we both noticed the sun was going down. Sota checked his watched and told me it was 5:37 pm. I was shocked. Did we really take that long? I guess it's true when your having fun time goes by fast. My thoughts got interrupted as I heard Sota speak "Nanami! Watch out!." shortly after I saw a loose dog it look it was going to attack but Sota pulled me closer to him. I was now in Sota's embrace. Soon the dog just passed by us. I looked up at sota's face. We were both looking at each other in the eye. Not to mention it was kind of romantic with the sun setting in the background. I noticed that Sota was getting closer to my face. For some reason I also got my face close to him. Our lips were just centimeters away when all of a sudden we heard some people coming closer. We instantly pulled away. I blushed. Woah that was close I almost kissed him. Not to mention I'm not an expert at kissing. I've only kissed one person before and that was Tomoe. After a few seconds Sota broke the silence "I should probably take you home. We don't want tomoe to get the wrong idea right?" "uh.. I agree let's walk back to the shrine." I said.
Time skip at the shrine
"Well Nanami it seems like we go our separate ways here. I had fun in this date and I can't wait to go with you to the festival." Sota said. "Yeah I had fun too." I responded. " take care Nanami I'll see you next week." "thanks you too bye." after Sota left I went inside the shrine. As I walked in I was shocked to see Tomoe. But something was off. He had a very confusing expression on his face. It seemed as if he was annoyed but also a little hurt. Maybe I should talk to him. "Hey Tomoe I'm back."  "welcome back Nanami." tomoe responded sounding a little distant. I should probably give him some space. so I decided to go to my room. once I arrived to my room all these questions came to mind. Why did I almost kiss Sota? Why was I comfortable with Sota? Did I like him? but I love Tomoe don't I?... Could it be that I might like Sota? who do I like?...
