Sherlock burst through the door of 221B, his face was printed with the biggest smile he'd formed in weeks.
"What's the case?" Sherlock asked, "And don't be boring, I just ran half way across London to get here!"
"There's been a murder", Lestrade explained. He was wearing a light grey suit which almost matched the shade that his hair had taken over the recent years. Sherlock's eyes brightened. "The victim, a blonde female, and is suspected to have been strangled and beaten to death. However none of the fingerprints found on the body and/or the at the crime scene match any of the suspects."
"Hold on, that sounds very similar to the case I saw on the news a few months ago. Is it the same one?" John quizzed Lestrade.
"Ah, now you see there's the mystery", John glared at him blankly. "This victim was reportedly killed just 12 hours ago, however she is the exact same person as before."
John stared at Lestrade, waiting for him to say that he was joking. Nothing. "Are you sure they're not twins?"
"One hundred percent! She has no records of having any siblings, her parents have stated time and time again that she is indeed an only child."
Sherlock smiled like child about to go on their first big ride at the theme park. "YES! OH THIS IS BRILLIANT! THANK YOU LESTRADE! THANK YOU!" Sherlock began to walk out of the room, clearly enthusiastic to get to the crime scene.
"I'm so glad we've found something to distract him", John whispered to Lestrade.
"Me too, John, me too" Lestrade responded as they followed Sherlock.
