(Take a breath, let it out slow. Seasons change with the break of a lifetime, remind me again why we thought twice about it, we've got ambition like you've got restraint...)

The snow didn't stop falling until the next morning when I answered the door at 10 A.M when an eager Alex stood there grinning, holding up two sledges. "Get ready, we're going on an adventure!" He laughed as I stepped aside to let him in sighing, and luckily my mom had gone out earlier this morning to get stuff for Christmas dinner, so Alex didn't wake her up. I went upstairs to get ready as Alex took off his boots before following me up and leaning in the door frame smiling as I dug out my new winter gear, as I'd never really experienced a 'white christmas' in Jacksonville. I found my new jacket, giving it to Alex to hold as I found a pair of jeans and a pullover and flung them on my bed and going over to my underwear drawer and looking sheepishly at Alex. "You gunna stand there and watch as I change?" He chuckled before saying "Just seeing what I can get away with." Winking as I rolled my eyes and took some out and turning my back to him as I took off my pj shirt and put on my bra. I could hear him gasp and I just laughed to myself, grabbing the thermal vest I'd gotten out the drawer, but before I could put it on, Alex was holding me from behind and kissing the back of my next, and I let out a low groan.

He began to caress my sides before kissing my back softly and then turning my to face him where I began to kiss him hard, pulling him into me by his jean pockets, slowly bringing the kisses down to his neck when he let out a moan and pulled my pelvis into his. Somehow, we ended up on my bed, with him ontop of me kissing me slowly as he tried to take his top of. At this point, I decided it was probably time to stop, and put my hands on his chest, pushing him away. He sighed, nodded and got up and resumed his position at the door frame. "You're such a damn tease." He laughed, shaking his head as I finished getting ready with my back to him, laughing as he gasped when I put my knickers on. I shook my head and put my jeans on before turning to face him, his mouth still very open in shock, so I walked over, shutting it with my index finger. "Get a nice view there?" I fluttered my eyelashes and bit my lip as he gulped and nodded. "Good. Lets go." I said, taking my coat out of his hands and pushing him in the direction of the stairs and headed out to the snow.

We walked out the house and the cold hit my face, making me shiver even wrapped up as warmly as I was. Alex put his free arm around me, pulling me into him as we watched some of the kids making snowmen on their front yards, and I looked at Alex with a cheeky grin on my face. We dropped our sledges and ran to the fresh snow and started making snowballs for a snowball fight. I ducked behond some bushes and began to make a few before peaking over the top and throwing my first one, hitting him in the side of the face. He turned to see where it came from, seeing me as I tried to duck down and before I knew it, he jumped on me and we fell into the snow laughing. We just lay there in each others arms for a bit, taking advantage of the quietness and I turned to face him, smiling before I moved to sitting one top of him where I grabbed a piece of snow and mad it into a snowball. "Shouldn't let your guard down so easily." I said, smiling cheekily and he raised his hands above his head "I surrender!" He shouted while laughing and I shook my head, putting the snowball up under his jacket and on his bare chest. He literally shrieked at the coldness and I laughed as he tried to get in all outm and when he gave up, he looked at me with a glint in his eye, taking my by the waist and pulling me down so I was lying ontop of him, our faces almost touching.

We looked into each other's eyes for a long few seconds, the cloudiness of our breath hitting the cold air barely hazing our eye contact, a smile grew on his face as he lifted his head a fraction higher so our lips were touching. Ofcourse, the sexual tension that had been brewing from our first contact seemed to be gradually coming out now we were a couple, and even though we had been going out a few days, it felt like it was so much longer. We understood each other more than anyone else did, we each told the other our secrets and our biggest fears. In a way, we'd been together since day one, just without the passionate stuff.

After a few hours of playing in the snow -which included sledging and more making out after making snow angels- we decided it was time to go inside. I'd managed to lose my key into the house somewhere in the snow, so Alex said we could go to his while his parents were at work, and he even let me have a hot shower and borrow some dry clothes of his so I didn't catch a cold. When I got out of the relaxing shower that took away the goosebumps from my skin, I walked into his room in one of his black tshirts and a pair of skinny jeans that were both a little big on me, he was sitting on his bed, and there were two very yummy looking hot cocoas on his side table. I smiled, stirring in the doorway before walking over and kissing his forehead, whispering a thank you in his ear before he pulled his quilt up over his shoulders and we snuggled in it together, sipping hot chocolate and watching Blink 182's Urethra Chronicles, laughing at their antics.

About halfway through the DVD, I began to yawn and snuggled into Alex more, so he paused it and began to hum a tune in my ear as my eyes grew heavy. "Jen..." He whispered softly in my ear, and I managed a nod and a murmured 'yes' before he carried on "We're going on tour all summer, and I want you to come." I looked up and him, smiling before kissing his lips softly. "I would love to come with you this summer." Before leaning back into his chest, as he slowly moved to a lying down position and turned Blink off completely as we snuggled in his bed and both gradually fell asleep while he sang a song I'd never heard him sing before, the same lines over and over again "Break out, break out, as we escape through the windows, head for the car, and never look back, singing-singing, "Break out, break out, our time has come and we've got these big city dreams."

We both woke as Alex's mom was gently shaking us. It must have been late if Alex's parents were home, when I tried to turn to check the clock on Alex's drawer each part of my body ached and I cringed in agony. Isobel looked worried, but in the end both of us managed to sit up, streching and getting comfortable, and I could see the relief on her face as she saw I was fully clothed, and saw my wet clothes with Alex's on his airer in the corner and smiled. It seemed like she really wanted Alex and I to work, maybe even more than we did at the moment.

Isobel called my mom and told her I would be staying for dinner, which tonight was roast ham and vegetables, and Alex as usual wolfed his food down while I took my time and when we were done, I got my still very damp clothes off his airer and folded them ready to take them home. Alex gave me one of his snuggly black hoodies to wear, as by the time I was leaving it was very much below freezing and insisted on walking me across the road. I tried to protest, but Alex being Alex wouldn't back down and let me leave until I agreed, so I rolled my eyes and mumbled defeat under my breath. He pulled me into his arms before we left and kissed me softly, lingering for a moment before taking his arms from my waist and open the front door for me to step out.

We carefully but quickly crossed the street and went up to my door, where my mom was waiting in the doorway for me. Alex said goodnight and kissed my forehead before heading home, and I walked through the door, comforted by the warmth that surrounded my body. Mom looked at me, shaking her head and laughing at me losing my key, but she was just glad to see me happy, and see my happiness grow the longer we were here.

As I got ready for bed that night, I looked out of my bedroom window and saw Alex looking out his living room window to me. I smiled and grabbed my mobile, texting him; "Hey, thanks for the clothes. I'll get them washed and dried and hand 'em all back to you asap x" I saw him take his phone out of his pocket and read the text before replying and turning his face up to look at mine and I could just about see a smile on his face. A few seconds later, my phone vibrated and I read Alex's reply: "Okay :)  but you can keep the hoodie. It looks better on you ;) x" I laughed and shook my head at him, and type away on his phone before pulling a face at me, when my phone vibrated again. "I mean it. I want you to have it, to show how much you mean to me. x"

I read the text over and over again, lots of emotions surging through my body. Fear, shock, surprise, and love. I didn't know how long I'd been feeling this, but it brought comfort to me to know we were going through these feeling together. I smiled, nodding at him before closing my curtains and texting him a goodnight. As I lay in bed, I felt the chill of the night and got up, went over to my dresser and took Alex's hoodie from it and placing it on before getting back into bed. It was only the first day of Christmas break, but I could tell I would definitely not be bored with Alex.
