In Denial

<Gabby POV>

•••THE NEXT DAY•••

<A Sunday>

I woke up to the smell of blueberry pancakes..my favorite. I smile, remembering the times my parents would make me pancakes every morning. Ever since they..passed, Aiden had taken it on himself to do it.

I head to the bathroom, use the toilet, brush my teeth, and head to the kitchen.

"Yum," I say,smiling.

He looks up at me and smiles.

I felt the urge to kiss him , so I walked up to him and put my legs around his waist. He freezes, then relaxes. And looks deep in my eyes. I kiss him feeling sparks but pretend not to notice. He responds instantly, and puts me on the counter, him in between my legs, his hands on the wall behind me. I only meant to kiss him, but I guess my mouth had other plans. I deepened the kiss. I noticed he had reached over to turn off the stove. I smiled suddenly. Typical Aiden. We go on for a few more minutes before we come up breathless. He walks away leaving me on the counter while he fixes our plates. I noticed he cooked bacon, eggs, and toast alongside the pancakes.

"Eat up," He says smiling.

"Fine," I laugh.

It's funny how things changed between us just yesterday but we can still joke around with each other.

"So, what do you wanna do today?" Aiden asks.

"Umm, oooh! How about the mall? We can shop!"

Aiden groans. "Really? The mall?"

"Yes,please please please Aiden!"

I beg.

"Alright Alright! Fine, We'll go to the stupid mall." He grumbles.

"To the mall we go!!" I yell, excited.

****The Mall****

•Aiden's POV•

Gabby and I have been in the mall for 5 hours straight and I'm sure we've been in every single store at least twice. TWICE!

It's 4:00 and I'm exhausted.

Gabby and I are in Rue 21.

The thing is, we've been in here twice already.

"Gabby please can we go?!" I yell.

"Just a sec!" She's looking at shorts that I think she'd look amazing in.

"Gabs! You'd look beautiful in anything! Now let's go!"

"Gabs! You'd look beautiful in anything! Now let's go!"

Not sure what came over me, but I blushed. Seriously. Gabby Parks DOES NOT blush. NEVER.

I looked at him. "Thank you," I said quietly,but I know he heard me.

"For what?" He looked truly confused.

"You called me beautiful," I say shyly.

He looks at me shocked. "And you don't think it's true?"

I slightly shake my head no.

He comes up to me and moves a strand of hair behind my ear.

"Gabs, you're truly the most beautiful person I've ever met. No matter what people think about you or what you think about yourself, you'll always be perfect in my eyes. No need to downgrade your beauty. I bet every guy that has laid eyes on you wished they could have you. And I bet every girl that has ever seen you wants to be you. You're perfect Gabs." He whispers the last part.

I stare at him in awe. Tears are running down my face. I hug him. "That was beautiful Aiden,thank you" I sob.

"Everything I said was true. Every bit of it." He hugs me tightly.

"Awwwwwh!" We suddenly hear.

We release each other to see everyone from Rue 21 and the stores surrounding it were gathered, taking pictures of us.

"So beautiful!" A middle-age woman says, crying slightly.

"Aren't they adorable?" Another woman asks.

"Very," people say.

"It's hard to find true love between teens these days" an elder man tells us. He looks at me and says, "He's a keeper, young lady. Don't let him go." He turns to Aiden. "Same goes to you too young man. "

We smile, thank everyone, and begin to head out of the mall.

"Wow," we both say at the same time. We look at each other and laugh.

We head home. I crank the radio up and all of a sudden "Bestfriend" comes on. I sing along and notice Aiden's doing the same thing.

"You know this song?!" I ask slightly shocked.

"Yeah, is that weird?"

I laugh. "No, not at all, I was just shocked."

"Maybe we could make it ours." He hesitantly says.

I slowly look up at him.

"Yeah, maybe." I say, not really meaning it.

We finally reach home. We order Chinese and sit on the couch and watch The Smurfs. Yes you heard right. THE SMURFS!!!

I LOVE that movie.

Around 8 I decided to hit the haystack early for once.

"Night Aids!"

"Night Gabs!"
