Keira:
The rest of the day passed by extremely slow. What was I supposed to do with no friends? There was no way I was risking running into Scarlett, so I confined myself to my room.
Which meant no video games, no computer, and no food. Good thing I had cable.
I turned it on and flipped through the channels. 22 Jump Street was on and so I decided to watch it.
My thoughts drifted to Scarlett, what could she possibly be doing in my house since Michael wasn't here. I didn't even know if she worked, but maybe she was doing that.
My curiosity got the best of me and I found myself throwing on some jeans and a black tee.
I opened my door quietly and creeped out to the kitchen. I looked around, but there was no one there.
I breathed a sigh of relief and then an idea popped into my head.
I could sneak out right now.
The door to my bedroom was already open, so it would be super easy to sneak back in and Scarlett hadn't been in to check on me since I went back.
I ran back to my room and grabbed my black converse and turned the tv up a little bit louder.
In a matter of seconds, I was on the staircase in the back of my apartment. I smiled to myself in satisfaction and decided I would go to my favorite bar.
I took the well-known path to the bar, ironically called the bar.
"Hey Stacey." I nodded my head to my favorite bartender.
"Hey." She flashed a smile at me and I nodded for my usual, "don't you think it's a little early?"
"It's never too early, babe." I flirted.
We had a casual relationship, and don't get me wrong, she was beautiful, but she just wasn't my type.
She just smirked and handed me my drink.
"Getting stressed at home?" Stacey commented as I drowned my drink.
"You have no idea." I shook my head, already feeling better.
"Well, you're always welcome here." She winked and I think it might have been the alcohol, but I felt a little longing.
"Thanks Stace." I sighed and she walked to the back, knowing full-well that I enjoyed the view.
She came back a few minutes later and I handed her a twenty.
"On the house." She insisted and I thanked her while finishing my third drink.
I walked home quickly, being quiet on the stairwell. My window was still open and so I slipped inside.
"Hey Keira, I could've sworn that you were grounded, but I could've been wrong." I heard a voice say as I entered my room.
"What are you doing in here anyways?" I narrowed my eyes at her.
She looked like she wanted to say something but then changed her mind, "Am I really going to have to watch you all the time."
"No." I said simply and popped myself on the bed.
"Let me rephrase that, I'm going to watch you the whole time so we can either stay in your room or go out there." She crossed her arms.
"Well, if we stay in my room I might get the wrong idea." I smiled smugly and watched Scarlett grow uncomfortable under my gaze.
