Kiera:
I called up Sierra, "dude, I just got laid and I'm not happy. What's gotten into me?"

"Not Scarlett." She replied, "that's the problem."

"You know I hate you, right?" I replied and she just sighed.

"Want me to come over?"

"Yeah."

Ten minutes later, Sierra was at my door.

"Hey dude."

"Let's chill in my room." I closed the door and led her back to my room.

"Are you here alone?" She asked looking around.

"Yeah, mike's out late and I have no idea where Scarlett is." I responded and jumped back on my bed, "you can stay the night, right?"

"Duh. My moms working in the diner again so I told her I'd be here."

"Okay, good. I need you to do some of my homework." I gave her my best puppy dog look.

"Only because you're going through a crisis." She gave in and I handed her my binder.

Just then the door to the apartment opened and my heart hammered in my chest.

"Hello?" I heard Scarlett call out.

"Hey. Sierra's here." I called back, internally battling on if I should go out and see her, or stay in my room.

She didn't reply, and that answered my question.

"She was probably just making sure I wasn't hooking up." I thought aloud.

Sierra laughed while writing down a math problem, "yeah, because that's super awkward to walk in to."

"I can't help it if I have girls over a lot because I'm irresistible." I smirked and nudged her.

"Go get me some food." Sierra ordered and groaned as I hauled myself off the bed.

"Only because you're doing my homework."

I walked out to the kitchen and ran my hand through my hair.

Scarlett was typing on her laptop, biting her lip in concentration.

I ignored her even though every time I looked at her, I wanted to be on top of her.

"What are you doing?" She questioned as I opened the pantry.

"Obviously getting food, do you have eyes?" I replied sarcastically.

She shook her head like she was disappointed and went back to typing. I grabbed a few snacks and two waters.

Just as I was heading to my room, Sierra walked out.

"Just finished, let's eat out here." Sierra stopped me and led me to island counter where Scarlett was.

"Dude, why?" I asked, but followed her anyways.

Then she whispered, "I am not sitting in those sheets."

I laughed and shoved her playfully.

"Do you know when Mike's coming home?" Sierra looked at Scarlett, trying to get her to have a conversation.

"Yeah, he said about thirty minutes." She replied and while she made eye-contact with Sierra, I studied her face. She turned her head slightly, and I quickly looked away.

"Cool." Sierra said and smiled back. I glanced at Scarlett to see her reaction, but she was back to her computer screen, typing away. "So, how's swim?"

I glared at her, "You know how I feel about it. Do you want to watch a movie or something?"

Scarlett glanced up, "I need a break from this work, how about I make some popcorn and we enjoy a movie together?"

"Did it look like I was talking to-" I started to say before Sierra interrupted me.

"That sounds great!"

I turned my back and rolled my eyes, but I couldn't deny the fact that the thought of sitting close to Scarlett made my heart beat hard in my chest. I mean, I knew I didn't have any romantic feelings for her, but maybe it was because I did want to sleep with her that I was feeling like this. I pushed the thoughts out of my head and went to sit on the couch.

A few minutes later, Scarlett had come back into the living room with the popcorn and Sierra had finished putting in the DVD. I motioned for Sierra to come sit with me on the couch but she shook her head and had a mischievous look in her eyes. She took the only single chair in the living room, which meant that Scarlett and I were to sit together on the couch. I gave her an evil eye, but of course, she avoided eye contact.

About an hour into the movie, my eyes started to slowly close shut and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't keep them open. When I woke up, I looked around confused and noticed Sierra had gone, but there was a hand on my arm.

"What...?" I asked in my half-asleep voice.

It was Scarlett.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to wake you...I just noticed...What are those scars on your arms?" She furrowed her brows together.

My heart pounded, "It's really none of your business. Where's Mike?" I changed the subject as i rubbed my arms uncomfortably.

"He's asleep, apparently he went to the gym and did an extremely hard work-out." She replied and I laughed.

"That probably consisted of 10 squats and a few push-ups"

Scarlett laughed, and I realized that I liked making her laugh...a little too much.
