Jojo walked into the dining room where there was one long oval table where each child ate

breakfast, lunch and dinner. She sat in her regular seat that she has sat in for the past 7 years.

All the kids chattering and laughing annoyed her more everyday. She nodded at the lady serving

breakfast and looked down at her plate. "HMMM STALE BREAD AND OLD MILK WITH UNSEASONED

OATMEAL, MY FAVORITE!" She said to herself. Everyday it was the same old, same old. She thought of

that memory she dreamt  of every night and quickly shook it away as fast as she possibly could.

MOMMY,DADDY! ALYSSA ! WHERE ARE U?! Those words wouldn't leave her mind. Over and over these

words pierced her mind. After breakfast Jojo went up to her room.
She didn't understand why everything bad  always happens to her. The day progressed as usual. Breakfast,Chores, activity, lunch, chores, classes ,chores dinner, and lights out 8:00 sharp. Even  though she was 15 going on 16

The next day as she was doing one of her chores. There was only one girl who was older then Jojo and she was so mean to everybody even the younger girls. Her name was Veera, she was tall and big, messy hair and bad breath. Any normal person knew not to mess with her. But Jojo was Not normal.

As Jojo hummed a song her mom used to sing to her, she scrubbed the hardwood stairs. "What are you humming Dumbo?"

" A song stupid" Jojo replied

(scoffs)
"What you'd call me?" Veera said in a deeper voice.

"OH so now you're Deaf! Let me help you. S. T.U. P.I.D

Veera laughed and threw a punch. This wasn't Jojo  first time defending herself  from Veera. So the first Instinct she had was to get down. After ducking she wasn't able to duck the next blow to the face. After a few seconds she could feel the blood on her cheek. She  jumped up and gave her a blow to the stomach.

"Ugh" Veera screemed as she flew to the  wall and  tumbled to the floor.

Jojo gave her a blow to the head before she could even get back up. By that time  a crowd of girls had circled around them, yelling, shouting and chanting.
