Chapter Eleven: Wait Four Days

Your Point of View

I wake up in the hospital. Adam is sitting next to my bed.

"Oh good, you're awake," he says, taking my hand. I try to sit up, but a pain in my stomach makes me lay back down. 

"Y/N," he whispers, tears in his eyes. "You saved my life. You... Sacrificed yourself to save me. Why?"

"Because... I love you, Adam. You're my brother. Of course I would sacrifice myself to save you. We're family. It's what we do," I tell him. A tear slips down his cheek. He pulls me in for a gentle hug.

"Thank you," he cries. I pat his back. "What are siblings for?" I say, repeating what he told me before. He smiles and pulls away. Suddenly, Ross, Jin, John, Tim Tim, and Max appear in the doorway. Jin rushes over and hugs me.

"Oh my god, Y/N, you scared me," he whispers. He kisses my forehead and goes to Adam. Ross runs to me next and pulls me into a tight embrace.

"Y/N, I said I would sacrifice myself to save you, and I didn't. It all happened so... Fast.." He murmurs. I pull away to look at him.

"Don't blame yourself for this. I made this decision. It was me or Adam. You couldn't have done anything," I tell him. He nods and pulls me in again.

"I.... Respect your decision of saving your brother. But please don't scare me like that again," he says. I nod and he pulls away. I soon hug everybody around the room.

"Adam?" I ask once I'm done. "The guy said he was our.... Cousin, when he shot me," Adam shakes his head.

"It's true," he sighs. I suck in a breath. "The police found us just in time. They took him to a mental hospital," I nod in silence. Why would my own cousin try to kill me and my friends?

"How long was I asleep?" I ask. 

"About... Three and a half days," Adam says. My eyes widen?

"Three and a half days?!?! When will I be able to get out of the hospital?" I ask. 

"Four days," says Jin. I nod. 

Great. Now I have to wait.
