Your Point of View

I take Jin's hand and look at Ross.

"I haven't been able to talk with him," I tell him. Ross nods. "I understand," he says. I smile apolegetically and walk with Jin to the middle of the room.

"May I have this dance?" He asks with a silly bow. I laugh. "I'd be delighted," I say. He takes my right hand and puts his right hand on my waist. I put my left hand on his shoulder. We start to dance. I used to dance professionally this way, and am surprised that he knows how to dance too.

"Wow," I say. "I didn't know you could dance,"

"I didn't know you could dance," He says. I smile.

"I danced like this professionally for seven years," I tell him. His grin widens.

"You've done so many amazing things in your life," He says in awe. I laugh. "Thanks," I say. He suddenly spins me around dips me. I smile. He picks me up from the dip and swings me through his legs. Remembering my dancing days, I keep my legs straight and turn around as I swing. He catches my hands and pulls me around so I'm standing and facing him. People whistle and clap. I giggle. He puts both hands on my waist and picks me up as he spins around. I put both my hands on his shoulders, knowing what he is about to do next. He pushed me upwards and I do a handstand on his shoulders. He lets go and I stay. I split my legs into a split and a spins. People clap and hoot. I bend over and land on the ground.

"Where did you learn to do this?" I ask as we go into our first position. He smiles.

"I aided a professional class for a year. I had already been dancing on my own. It kind of just, came to me," he says.

"W-wow," I say. He laughs. The music is about to end, so he spins me around and leaves me to do a solo. I put my pointed foot next to my knee and then. I then stick it out ballet style and bring it back to my knee to give me the momentum to turn again. I do this many times and pick up the pace as I go. Near the end, Jin catches me as I'm about to spin. He takes my hand and spins me around. As the music stops, he dips me. Everybody claps, laughs, and yells! Jin takes me out of the dip. We both grin at the same time.

"Thanks for the dance," I say as we walk to where everyone was gathered to watch. "No problem," he says with a wink. I roll my eyes playfully.

"Wow! That was amazing," says Adam. "I forgot about how you danced professionally. You would dance everywhere, from walking down a hallway to in the grocery store. I thought it was annoying at the time, but now I know that you dancing was worth being stared at," he jokes. I whack his arm as everyone laughs.

"That was really good," says Ross. "You truly are a great dancer,"

"Thanks, that means a lot," I tell him. Alesa soon rushed to my side.

"That was AMAZING!!!" She screams. I laugh and hug her.

"Thanks! Let's go get some food," I say. Alesa nods excitedly as we grab some chips and salsa. Adam meets us and steals a chip from my hand.

"Hey! That was mine!" I say as he stuffs it in his mouth.

"Sworry," he says as he eats the chip. Alesa rolls her eyes. "At least you don't have to live with this everyday,"

"Hey!" Yells Adam. "Please," I start. "I had to grow up with him,"

"Again, hey!" Adam yells. Alesa and I start to crack up, and soon Adam joins our laughing fit. After everyone had eaten, everyone was tired.

"I think the party's over," I yawn. Everyone nods in agreement. I walk into my office. My stomach is filled with pain, especially after the dance. I power through the pain, grab my keys, and go to my car. Once I get home, I shower and head straight to bed.
