A TALE OF FIVE FINGERS
THE CREATIVE FINGER
12TH DECEMBER 2014
The loud click of her camera not only proved her suspicions but also aggravated her.
It was snowing out and she felt bored being cooped up in her cosy apartment. So she rose from her place on her comfortable Italian couch and walked into her bedroom. Pulling on a pair of black tights and a thigh length peach coloured cardigan.
She had reached for her pretty expensive camera on her night stand only to push it slightly forward and watch it torturously drop to her tiled floor.
She rushed to the device and did a panicky once over, making sure the lens hadn't cracked or the shutter hadn't broken. After coming up clear, she threw on her trench coat and fur boots.
She hung her camera on her neck and drove to her favourite spot. The beautiful lake by the grand Elite hall.
Couples often came there to spend time together and love was her genre and sector of expertise. The way they'd look at each other with such love in their eyes, the way they'd hold hands, the way they'd kiss and even the way they laughed or walked was pure art.
Love on its own was an emotion of art and the only heart wrenching thing would be the fact that she was in no way humanly possible, involved romantically with someone.
She looked down at her camera and sighed. This was what she dreaded ever doing, Shopping in December.
She looked down at the broken camera once again and shook her head. No, she wasn't going to go shopping, She was gonna fix it. Well not her per say, A camera repair man.
She took out her phone and opened her GPS app before typing camera repair stores. 'Michael's Camera repair store, first come first serve'
She couldn't help but laugh at the slogan. First come first serve? Come on, anything would be better than that.
She hopped in her unreasonably large SUV and started the engine. Pulling out of the parking lot of the grand elite hall, she swerved into the road and begun her journey to the obnoxiously named repair shop.
The loud blaring of her phone only intensified her migraine, she reached over to her phone and swiped the screen. "You really have to stop calling me Sam."
Samuel Butler was a lot of things. He was the bartender at her favourite bar, Her regular valentine hook up, the brother of her boss, her masterpiece. She spent most of her time with him, talking, joking and taking pictures of his glorious body.
The best thing about their relationship was the rules they stuck to. They would never have sex unless it was valentines day and they were both single. Once the sun rose on 15th February, they were both out of sight and they would steer clear of each other until march rolled on.
It was indeed a beautiful relationship.
"Oh come on Emma, I thought you said I was forgiven?" He asked, his words slurring against each other.
Emma couldn't help but chuckle. Forgiven? Yeah right.
He had come to her apartment complex when she held her photo exhibit, wasted and horny. Then he made passes at her clients and finally tried to kiss her which resulted in her calling security and they practically hauled him out of the apartment.
It wasn't pretty.
She scoffed loudly and hissed. "You've got to be bat shit crazy to think I'd forgive you that easily." She replied, taking a sharp turn.
