OKAY... First, allow me to apologize deeply for not updating in over a month. I'm terrible, I know, but I'm pretty happy with this new chapter.

SECOND OF ALL, 2K READS?! WHAT!? THANK YOU SO MUCH, GUYS. I LOVE YOU ALL.

His voice. His warm breathe against my cheeks. His tender lips.

The night we kissed was still vivid in my mind. The way his hands brushed along the sides of my back as our lips fell together like two puzzle pieces, made a chill race down my spine at the memory of it all. No one had ever kissed me that way before. Not as though I had been kissed many times before.

His hands entangled in my long hair, pulling me closer. All thought left my mind in that moment. Nothing mattered. Not now, not anymore. For one moment, we were unbreakable. Untouchable.

I fell across my bed, the scent of clean sheets wafting through the air. I couldn't get him out of my head for a second. Nor did I try. His cologne still clung to my hair; cinnamon with a hint of mint. The thought of a shower brought a sigh past my lips. I couldn't bear to wash away the feeling of his touch, the scent of his cologne.

Reluctantly, I slipped my shirt over my head and headed towards the shower. My hands slid over the knobs as they turned, water pouring from the showerhead. Water trickled over my hair and face, enveloping me with a warm, relaxing sensation.

How could a simple kiss make my mind so muddled?

We were still a just simple pair, merely employee and employer. This was what I repeated to myself over and over, but we weren't just people in the world of business. But he was different. He was famous. There were so many more above me, models with all the beauty a woman could wish for and plenty of gorgeous actresses who were a million times more talented than I. Who was I to stand in the way?

I picked up my phone and stared at it, my mind elsewhere as the time ticked away. Minutes turned to hours and faded into the dark, my mind lost. He was on set for a new film and I was at home contemplating my life and what to have for dinner.

Bzzzzz.
The sound of the doorbell knocked me back to reality and almost completely out of my chair. It was 8pm and far too late for Emily to be over with her new job. I raised my eyebrow, trying to decide if I should open the door or ignore it. I let out a sigh and trotted down the stairs, peeking through the window before opening the door.

I yanked open the door, "Ben?! I- I thought-" I stuttered.

Ben smiled weakly, his eyes and body obviously very tired from a full day and a long journey. "I-" He scratched his neck, a sheepish look on his face. "I missed you and I couldn't stop thinking of you so I hopped in a cab and picked up some pizza." He blurted out, awkwardly juggling a box of pizza and a tall bottle of peach soda.
