Chapter 1
1 year later
The summer holidays always ends with a bang, but in my case it really did. I remember it all as if I was re-living the whole thing all over again. It was the last day of the summer break and my parents decided to take my younger brother, Jack and I out for ice cream. Yeah, I know, ice cream, how old am I again... Oh yeah that's right 16, but I mean its ice cream, and I mean, who's going to say no to ice cream? Little did Jack and I know that this would be the last thing that we would ever do with our parents.
It was a beautiful summers day. The sun was out, there wasn't a cloud in sight and the birds were chirping. Ok, well there were no birds, but you get the gist. Jack and I were outside reading and soaking up the sun, before we would have to go back to school and our parents came outside asking if we would like go go and get some ice cream. And who in their right mind would say no, right?
So we went out and got our ice cream, but our parents never got to taste their ice cream, because they were taken hostage in a robbery, and well, I guess you can figure out the rest.
Author Note: So this is the start of my book, nothing special, but it's a start. I hope that those who choose to read this and continue enjoy it... Um... Yeah. That's all I guess. Enjoy! And I promise that the chapters will get longer.
