"Amber!" Rebecka called out to me. I look behind me to see her standing next to her boyfriend Kalan, their hands as usual are interlocking with each other and smiles are on their faces. Her and Kalan make their way towards me as I continue talking to my favorite teacher Ms. B. "How are you holding up dear?" She asked sweetly. I looked at her with my light gray eyes and smiled. "Its hard," I began. "Its like every time I close my eyes it replays over and over.." I trailed off holding in the tears. Ms.B grabbed my hand and rubbed it gently looking away. "I know its hard dear, when my husband passed I kept feeling it was my fault. It was terrible. It is terrible." She emphasized. I pulled her close into a hug, Ms.B was like a mother to me, growing up with an uncle and 3 brothers Ms.B seemed to be the only woman figure in my life.
"But we always get through it!" She smiled as she spoke. I smiled back and caught up with Rebecka.Rebecka was a small blonde girl with gorgeous green eyes. Her boyfriend Kalan was a tall brunette boy with golden eyes. Both were gorgeous humans and an adorable couple.
"Holy shit Amber!" Rebecka shouted. I shot my head at her with a concerned look. "You look fucking hot!" I laughed a thank you back to her, but then my happiness wore off when I saw someone sanding in front of me.
Thomas hadn't been at school longer than I was gone after the accident. He stood arms crossed, back hunched, head down slightly, and abnormally dark eyes staring back at me. I walked a little bit closer to him until he was about 5 feet away. "Thomas..." I whimpered. He kept hi head down. "Thomas!" I barked. He looked at me with a face of death, a face of pain and sadness, a face that would hurt the devil himself."What?" He growled. I crossed my arms against my chest. "Are you ok?" I interrogated. He grasped my arm tightly and pulled me away. I followed painfully to this unknown destination.
No words were spoken as we passed through the bodies of students and teachers. I didn't even bother to look behind to try and find Rebecka, all I could focus on was the small bit of skin that showed beneath Thomas's hoodie. His arm had markings and cuts all over. Eventually we reached a shady place behind my highschool."Why'd you have to bring me here to tell me if you're okay?" I questioned him. Looking me dead in the eyes he spoke finally, "Because Amber, I'm not fine!" I grabbed his hand and rubbed it softly. "I know its hard believe me, but we will get through thi-" "No! You don't get it, you weren't the one who accidentally stabbed you best friend in the whole world! You don't get what its like to murder someone you love, and live with yourself knowing you took away part of you life and someone else's life!" He bellowed at me. A few tears rolled down his cheek.
I could feel the tears already streaming down my face and dripping off my chin. I looked at Thomas who still looked solid as a stone. "Amber," he whispered. "I've been seeing Collen..."
