Chapter 4

Yes i know that seems like such an odd thing that my parents let me see her every year i think maybe it's to try and make me see what will happen if i come out as gay and don't go to college. I really would like to know how they would react if the found out she was going to stanford and last i heard she was about to have her second year anniversary with her girlfriend. I check the time to see thats its 11:30 and i figure that i should try and get some sleep. Beep beep beep, i seriously need to go to bed earlier because going to bed that late and waking up a 6:30 in the morning can't be good for my health. The walk to school should be happier knowing that Devon actually wants to go out with me and will probably talk to me or something. Its just the thought of what ashly said to me. "He will never love you" I'm scared that if I'm seen with Devon she'll try and get Kevin to beat him up. Oh right Kevin, I thought he was Devon's best friend. Craz it's them must hide I quickly look around to see that there is no hiding places so I just shrink a bit and keeps walking but before I could get away from them I heard them talking about Devon so I stayed near them to hear their plans. "I'm not going to beat up my best friend for you" Kevin said casually "but he broke up with me!" Ashly stammered "so? Not my problem." "But he's gay" she sounds so much like a baby "seriously get over it, he's my friend and it's not like you couldn't find another boy in an instant,I'll show you watch" "My sisters single!" Kevin yelled and then ran and before Ashly could run after him a group of boys surrounded her. Also you could just see the dirty looks all the girls were giving her. Serves her right considering she doesn't deserve the attention and love all the boys give her.
"We need to get you new clothes boy" Elizabeth said "why?" I asked walking to my locker "because you need to look good enough to eat when you go out with my big bro"
"can't we look to see if I have anything in my closet already"
"other then you sexuality"
"You mean your sexuality"
"Oh shut up I hate you"
"No you don't, also where's Allen?" I asked I wonder where that ball of sass went "oh he went home sick a couple hours ago" I nodded and we walked back to my house. "So when we go inside my house can you make sure to not say anything about my sexuality?" I asked Elizabeth as we walked up to my house. She nodded as we walked inside I knew I could trust her not to say anything. "Mom I'm home" I called "okay hu... Oh you brought a friend with you make sure to leave the door open" "mom she's just a friend I swear." I say starting up the stairs "don't worry Mrs.Hendrikson I'm already taken and have no plans on cheating" Elizabeth smiled at mom with a knowing smile and the continued up the stairs. I was about to ask Elizabeth that but before I could even get a word out she went straight to my closet and started to pull things out of it "No,no,no,no, god why do you even own this,no, okay I've come to the conclusion that you don't own anything suitable enough for this date, so grab your wallet because we a have a shopping trip to make right now." Elizabeth said in a very short amount of time "Are you sure I don't own anything" I pleaded with her "no" she said shortly. I sighed in defeat as I grabbed my wallet and walked out the door to follow her. "Mom I'm going out don't worry I'll take my car" "okay Hun have fun don't be out too late" she called back "you have a car Elizabeth asked surprised "yeah" I said as I opened the garage door to my 2015 Mercedes Benz. "Why don't I ever see you drive it to school? You know what I don't care. Start driving it because I don't like walking and I don't get a car for another couple months and Allen's birthday is in the summer so he won't start driving for a while then you can stop and have your boyfriend pick you up from then out" she talks so much at such a fast rate I seriously don't know how she does it it. Is art up the car and begin to drive to the mall we quickly find a good parking space because it's a Thursday and people are at home trying to finish last minute homework assignments or something I don't know I'm just glad the malls not packed. "So we're just getting me a new shirt right?" I ask Elizabeth as we hurry inside to get out of the blaring heat "sure, yeah, of course" she lied to me because three hours and five shops later I know have 3 new outfits and two new jackets. I don't even know when I'm going to need to a jacket because it never seems to get cold in this city but Elizabeth just insisted that I buy them. "I'm starting, come on let's go get something to eat and check out the hotties in the food court." Elizabeth complained while dragging me to the food court. I sigh and follow after her hoping she's paying for food which she thankfully does because our total was $30. I truly don't know how this tiny child can eat so much and stay in good health.
"Ooo that dude is totally checking you out" I say wriggling my eyebrows. Elizabeth just rolled her eyes at me "what?" I ask as I hold up my hands in self defense, "you really are one of the funniest person I've ever met and besides I'm not into dating at the moment" she responded giggling "oh come on but look at how hot he is" I say gesturing to him Elizabeth turns around and the guy waves at her she blushes and shyly waves back. "See look what you made me do I'm blushing now" she angrily exclaims. I just laugh and look up to see the guy walking over here "Well looks like he thought it was call because he's walking over here right now" before Elizabeth could yell at me he walks over here and the conversation goes something like this
Random hot guy: Hi what's your name?
Elizabeth:Elizabeth *blushes*
Random hot guy:  well I saw you over here with your boyfriend and I..
Elizabeth: oh he's not my boyfriend
Random hot guy (now hardcore flirting): oh well I'm sure a pretty lady like you has one
Elizabeth (crazy blushing): no actually
Random hot guy: well then Elizabeth here's my number call me sometime *smiles*
Elizabeth: thank you..... Wait I didn't get your name
Random hot guy: oh it's Alex
Elizabeth: bye Alex
Alex: bye Elizabeth *waves and walks away*
"I think I might die" Elizabeth breaths out, "dude you just scored big time. Nice job!" I congratulated her. Elizabeth is kinda just sitting there breathing before she says monotonously "let's go home" and then picks up her trash to throw it away, I quickly follow after her and then we walk to the car. I quickly text my mom telling her that we're leaving the mall and that I would be driving Elizabeth home before getting in and starting the car. As I get in I see Elizabeth looks a little pale " are you okay?" I ask concerningly "yeah I'm just a bit tired" I nod as I start up the car and stay quiet the whole way. I wonder as I drive home why Elizabeth paled up and wondered if it was that guy or something else she saw. When I get home I quickly drop it as soon as I see the mess in my room and think about my date with Devon tomorrow but Elizabeth's pale face creep creeping back into my thoughts and I can't truly help but to wonder why she got like that. I just hope she's fine now sleeping like I should be.
