Chapter 6

I woke up in total bliss the next morning, last night was the best night of my life. Thankfully it's only saturday i don't think i could deal with ashly bringing me off my high. my phone went off i picked it up to see i text from Devon: good morning baby, i hope you had fun last night because i know i did. I texted back yes of course i did with a blushy face and then sat my phone down but quickly picked it up again to see that elizabeth was calling i picked up and before i could even say anything i was being yelled at "HOW DID IT GO??? WAS IT AMAZING? OF COURSE IT WAS BECAUSE DEVON WOULD NOT STOP BLUSHING!!!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM???" "yes it was amazing it was spectacular really, i couldn't have asked for a better night really" i responded back probably sounding love struck "what did you guys do???? Devon wouldn't tell me anything because he's a meanie pants" "well we went to a really nice restaurant and ate really great food and we talked about life and where we wanted to go to college and what we wanted to do with our lives and then he took me to this peak that overlooked the city and then he kissed me" "um if you'll excuse me i have to go my dad is calling me" "okay bye" she then hung up on me i wonder what is up with her lately she's been acting so odd lately also what is up with allen he hasn't talked to me in five days now it's crazy i'm worried about them i don't know why they're acting up , i really do hope they're okay. the rest of the weekend was spent alone all i did was do a bit of writing and reading and extra homework i had thankfully wasn't that much or i would've gone crazy because homework is the worst.
when i went to school monday things felt different probably because i was held by devon at every possible moment throughout the day. I felt like no one was going to mess with me, even kevin was acting nicer, though something was wrong very wrong. One allen and elizabeth both weren't at school and ashly was acting funny she was at school but instead of acting like she usually does with name calling and acting like devon still loves her she stayed away and acted like we didn't even exist. To be honest with you it was kinda freaking me out how calm she was acting and Devon didn't seem to care or notice, he was too busy being happy that he had his friend back playing around and making fun of eachother. It was like that for the next couple of days until thursday when i got a text from Eli saying to come pick him and allen up from his house so I quickly drove over there to find out what has been happening to my best friends.
When I pull up I see them waiting outside for me and I also see see Allen wearing long sleeves and pants even though it 95 degrees outside so I immediately knew some was wrong. When then they saw me I could see Allen limping so I quickly got out and opened the door for them "what's wrong?" I asked as they got in "I'll tell you when you get inside" Eli hissed at me so I quickly shut the door and hopped in. I saw them nod to each other before Eli started talking "his family beat him, well mostly his father but you can't tell anyone" "oh my god Allen I'm so sorry if there's anything I can do please tell me" I said frantically while stepping on the brakes hard to look at him "well first drive better, and just don't tell anybody also if I could stay at your house for a while until things cool down that would be great" "of course I make sure it chill with my parents" "can I trust them?" "With stuff like this, yes" I started to drive again and we were all silent the rest of the time.
When we got to school I felt like everyone was staring at us, it was horrible. Devon and Kevin quickly came over and asked if we were okay, we of course all shrugged it off, but Kevin seemed worried and directly asked Allen if he was okay, Allen kinda just stood there and stuttered before breaking down and crying. Kevin quickly embraced him in his arms and started to rock him back and forth whispering soothing words in his ear "he's been wanting to do that since 8th grade" Devon whispered in my ear leading me away to give them privacy because they walked into the bathroom "what?" I asked confused "yup Kevin's been gay for Allen since 8th grade" he said casually "you wouldn't believe how bad he was crying after he beat you up, he felt horrible like he was almost hurting Allen in a way" he continued "wow did not expect that coming" I said very surprised "it happens, now come on we don't want to be late for class.
After school Allen came up to me and asked if it would be alright if he stayed with Kevin for the rest of the week because his sister Ashly would be out of town until Monday, I of course said yes and made small joke to not have too much fun before walking away with a little wave. I waited for a couple minutes before I saw Eli walk up "hey" I said "I think I'm in love or at least lust" he said getting in "oh do tell" I said as I started up the car "his name is Matteo his an exchange student from Italy" he said in a dreamy voice "does he know?" I asked trying to get out of the parking lot "of course not I just met the guy, it nots something you can casually say like oh hey so I know this is the first day we met in all but I'm not actually a full dude sometimes" "well I mean I found out the first day, well yeah but that's only because Allen blurted it out after you stupidly asked if we were dating" he said in a duh tone "in my defense you act like it all the time I mean half the time I think you're a married couple, the way you to fight" I said pulling up to his house "yeah yeah" he said getting out "tell Devon I said hi and I love him" I said as he was about to close the door "what about me?!?" he asked shocked "love you too Eli" I said sarcastically "jerk" he said and slammed the door I just laughed and drove home.
So because of the absents I give you two chapters in one night!!
