Anime eyes,

unique and representative

of a culture, of a tone;

Symbolically exposing,

Perpetually grabbing

Difficult to look at them anymore,

Without regret surging up my spine;

Without hunger dissipating from my stomach;

Without untimely remembrances,

Of those beautiful moments

That now I'm without.

Without her.

The eyes that I once thought,

knew, were unfazed,

by my self-depreciative ways,

And my apathetic goals,

or my disgraceful decisions;

My utter fear of all.

All but those two green pupils,

Looking at me

and the fear is no longer real.

Alas, those eyes were mere pictures,

That communicated 1000 words,

100 times over,

Until every word was said

And every idea was uttered,

and until every syllable was dead.

Words taste disgusting

rotting in her mouth

brings tears to big eyes.

She has to close them to open them;

And now someone else can idolize,

those anime eyes,

That no longer will animate me.
