Aaron
“Sir, may I please go to the restroom.”
“Be back in 5 minutes.”
Thank God! That class was so boring. It’s only been a month and I’m tired of school already. Not only were the classes boring, none of the girls here were very interesting anymore. Been there, done that, I’ve dated all the girls worth dating in the senior year and my year (11th grade) already. Plus, my psycho hottie of an ex-girlfriend kept trying to “rekindle our love” or something like that. I think I need something different, something new.
As if God had read my thoughts, i spotted Mrs. Knightly showing a slender brunette around. Not bad, not bad at all. In fact, she was pretty hot. I definitely want to get to know her better. Without realizing it, I started walking in her direction. I felt like I was in trance, being drawn to the mysterious new girl. I snapped out of it when she accidentally bumped into me.
“Hey! Watch where you’re going!” I heard myself say.
“Sorry” she muttered without even a glance. What just happened? Why was I so drawn to this girl? I didn’t even know her! I checked my watch; it had been 7 minutes since I left the classroom so I decided to head back. It’s almost lunch; maybe I’ll see that new girl again.
Priscilla
Lunch time! I never thought I’d ever be so happy for lunch break. No, I didn’t plan on pigging out or anything, I had to watch my figure, what I couldn’t take was sitting next to the Aaron Maddox for the whole English period. He was just so full of himself. I can’t believe he cheated on me with that slutty Olivia Peterson. Again. This is me we’re talking about. I’m the hottest girl here, and he, the hottest guy, we were made for each other. He’d come crawling back to me, I’d make sure of it.
I had about an hour to kill before lunch ended. Then I realized I’d left my wallet in my room, I guess I had to time go back and get it then eat a light lunch. Besides, the new girl was due anytime soon, might as well get to know my roomie.
I opened the door to my room to find a girl busily unpacking her things. I watched her for a bit, hey I’ve got to check out my possible competition. She was pretty, that was for sure, although she wasn’t wearing any makeup. Quite tall too, about 2 inches taller than me. She was rich, that was a given, anybody who went to Pinestead was rich. I don’t feel threatened by her, she doesn’t hold a candle to me.
“Hey, I’m Priscilla. You must be Marissa.” I smiled at her.
“Yeah..Uhmm.. Call me Leigh.. Nice to meet you..“ she said, somewhat shyly. Definitely not Aaron’s type, he liked his girls confident.
“So I was about to head out for lunch in the canteen, wanna join me?” I’m so nice, I amaze myself. She should be honored that I offered, not everyone is privileged enough to get to sit with me and my friends.
“I’d love to. Thanks! Lemme just go get my purse.”
We headed off to the canteen together and I got to know my new roommate a little better. She was nice and definitely cool enough to be my friend, but we didn’t have much in common. She loved playing sports, which I detested because why would you want to sweat on purpose? She hated the color pink, which I loved. I also found out that we had all our classes together, meaning; she had all her classes with Aaron as well.

I was sitting in the canteen with my best friends Caleb and Damon when I saw her. The same brunette I bumped into earlier. And she was with Priscilla. My psycho on and off (currently off ) girlfriend. Great. Just great. Knowing Priscilla, she probably told the new girl that I had herpes or something. Just clarifying, I do NOT have herpes or any sort of STD. She’s just mad that I cheated on her with Carly, -- or was it Olivia? Hmmm.. I’m not sure. Anyways, that’s how it’s always been between us, we hook up, one of us cheats, we break up, and then it’s back to square one. But honestly, I’m sick of it, I think this time, we should STAY broken up. For good. Not that she gets that, she has somehow gotten the idea that we’re getting back together again, despite the number of times I’ve told her no. Now she spends her time terrorizing other girls who just glance at me. What a creep. But I have to admit, a HOT creep. No Aaron! You do not want to go back there again.
“Hey, who’s that with Priscilla?” Caleb asks.
“I have no idea. But I’d definitely like to get to know HER better” replies Damon.
“Let’s go introduce ourselves. Shall we?” I say. No way are they getting her. Not before I do.
Leigh
My new roommate seemed nice enough. Well, to me anyways. She did shove a couple of unpopular kids out of her way and shouted at some girl who touched her purse. Not exactly the poster girl for friendliness. She and I, well, she wasn’t the kind of person I usually associated myself with. Let’s just say we didn’t have much in common. One thing I could say about her is that she is really pretty. The kind of pretty that would make other girls self-conscious. With her silky blonde hair and emerald green eyes, I would have felt self-conscious as well; that is, if I actually cared what other people thought of me.
Priscilla was telling me about some trip she had to Milan when 3 guys walked up to us. Wow. They were all gorgeous. Not to sound like some girly girl, but really, they were—
My thoughts were interrupted by the boy on the right who spoke up.
“Hey Priscilla! Oh and who’s your friend?” Without even waiting for her to respond, he turned to me, “Hello there, I’m Caleb Scott, and you are?”
“Oh.. Uhmm.. Hey, nice to meet you Caleb.. I’m Leigh Ascott”
“The pleasure is mine Leigh.” He grinned as he winked. Wow. Cocky much? The guy on the right then moved forward and introduced himself as well.
“Damon Kristoff, welcome to our school.”
“Thanks.”
I could feel myself start to blush. I was not used to getting so much attention. I then noticed the third guy. I’d have to say that he was probably the best looking out of all of them. He had longish shaggy brown hair that would almost reach his eyes. And he had really intense hazel eyes and a long arrogant nose. His face was chiseled and he was tall. About 6’2”, he was lean and muscular. Then I realized he had stepped forward and was smirking. Oh my god. Was I staring? Crap! Avert your eyes Leigh!
“Hey Leigh, I’m Aaron Maddox.” He held out his hand for me to shake.
I smiled as I reached out to shake hands with him. His large hand made mine look so tiny in comparison.
“Uhmm.. You can let go of my hand now.”
“Oh crap! I’m sorry, my mind kind of went blank.” I could feel my cheeks start to get warm.
“Yeah I have that effect on people.” He winked.
Excuuuuuse me? Someone’s full of himself. “What? They’d rather have their mind on nothing instead of on you?” I winked back, and held back a smile when I saw his shocked expression.
Aaron
I was stunned. Completely and utterly shocked.
“Dude, you just got owned!” said Caleb as he and Damon doubled over laughing.
“Shut up you guys. This school year is gonna be a lot more interesting.” I said as I watched her walk away. Nice a$s. This girl is different, and she’s gonna be a challenge. I never turn down a challenge.
