Entry 22 - Sophylia's Journal:
March 1
3.54pm
It's the first day of the month! You, my dear journal, definitely need a good punching to wake you up after how dormant you've been. Just wanted to mark this date because Marcus is making a surprise visit! He called me for about two minutes and refused to elaborate on any details, which leads me to surmise that his surprise trip can only be for a bigger spending allowance.
Also, the new voice memo feature in Chatterbox is awesome. I can safely say I am a converted woman - voice recordings for the win, who has the time to type an entire text message anyway? That said, luckyguy96 does sound British and young enough, so either he's a forty-year-old West End performer with a knack for voice mimicry, or he's to be trusted for now.
I've been a little naughty and sent some voice recordings of my own. For some reason I sound way too posh the moment that microphone icon lights up. I found myself saying 'frightful' instead of 'horrible' when describing an aunt, and 'certainly' instead of 'of course'. So I guess it wasn't too surprising when Danger decided that I must have been binge-watching Downton Abbey.
luckyguy96: A thought just occurred that we seem to really be kind of dating
summergirl98: well it's hard to date someone whose face you haven't seen
luckyguy96: well we're saying such nice things and have given virtual roses to each other, I'd say it's pretty close to dating.
summergirl98: I'd hardly consider 'why don't you take a ride on my manhood' a nice thing to say.
luckyguy96: But it is a hopelessly romantic thing to say, isn't it?
summergirl98: Oh, very The Notebook material.
luckyguy96: y'know, on a completely different topic, sometimes I feel like this band thing might not work out.
summergirl98: 'this band thing'?
luckyguy96: well, gap year is over in a few months, and then it's so-and-so college for everyone and everyone will be separated
summergirl98: everyone?
luckyguy96: My band members... we were accepted into different universities, one of them a continent away
summergirl98: and so you think the band will come to an end?
luckyguy96: yup
summergirl98: well was it ever a really serious thing?
luckyguy96: PRETTY serious, we actually got a bunch of gigs here and there
summergirl98: and what do you band members think?
luckyguy96: they're conflicted, we really didn't expect it to have any success at all
summergirl98: well the SENSIBLE option would be to get that university degree first, for a safe career path and all that, but it'd be a bummer to lose a name like 'The Record Lows'
luckyguy96: so you do admit it's a sick name
summergirl98: Well it's one I'd be happy to steal
luckyguy96: so a hiatus it is?
summergirl98: well The Wanted is on hiatus
luckyguy96: and?
summergirl98: oh please no one REALLY believes they're on 'hiatus', it's broken up
luckyguy96: so not a hiatus it is?
