thankfully I was able to get back in without anyone knowing I was gone. But it wasn't exactly easy to get past there defenses and sneak back into my housing area. when I got back into my bed I tried to sleep but I just couldn't. All I could think about was the condition Evita was in and the pain she experienced today was too much for her. But im glad she didn't kill herself and i just wish i had got there sooner. But Keaton kept being ass about his superspeed and started showing off. I wasn't even looking for a fight he just came up to me on his own trying to belittle my psychokinesis. He just annoyed me so much at that point that I acutely tried to throw a metal box at him, witch he avioded by speeding away to another place in the room. He then started throwing more insults at me witch only made me throw more things at him. Then after a few minutes he tried to run away but I used my ability to catch him before he could go anywhere. I slowly started to crush his body I was just so angry that I couldn't stop. Until one of the community supervisors came by and slammed us to the ground because one of our supervisors has the power to change the gravity of anyone he chooses. When he let us back up he sent us back to our houses and suspended us from going outside. Anyways that was yesterday and I did have an interesting morning mostly because when I woke one of my friends and asked me where I went last night. Witch is odd because usually she doesn't come anywhere near my housing distract in the community mostly because of Keaton. She hates him more then I do but when ever I ask her about it she doesn't say anything so I don't ask her about it anymore. Her name is Kayla but we call her blaze because of her ability of pyrokinesis. I wonder why she even came over that late in the first place, was it to ask me something or to get advice. Either way she wants me to meet her in her housing area after she's done with her lesson in how to control her powers. All of us metas get a teacher based on our ability after we are assigned one we go to them once every day for a few hours or so. My teacher has told me that doesn't have much more to teach me so I don't go for sessions with him all that much anymore. So I'm just waiting outside the hall door that leads to the training areas just waiting for blaze to come out so I can answer her questions. Then after a few minutes she walks out the door and tells me to follow her to her housing area. It takes a bit because she lives in a an area that quite far from me which is why I'm wondering why she came so far to my district area in the first place. But the thought has left my mind by now and blaze opens the door and let's me inside and I look around for a second or two then she interrupts my gazing around. "what where you doing last night, you weren't home" she asked
"Why did you come so far from here to my housing area" I asked her back
"Well I heard about what happened with Keaton and I wanted to come over to see if you where doing okay but you weren't there when I got there" she responded with
"Well it's complicated" I told her
"Can you please tell me" she said with a a curious and worried look on her face
I sit down in a chair and she does the same and I start to tell her about Evita and how every time we are let out I go out to see her and comfort her when I can. Then I explained what happened and told her the condition she was in when I got there. But then the thought of Keaton crossed my mind and how because of him Evita was in such a bad condition and I turn my hand into a fist. I'm about punch something but before I could do anything blaze hugs me and I look at her for a second and I calm down and hug her back. "I'm sorry I didn't know" she says with a sad tone and I break away from the hug and put my arms on her shoulders and push her back an arms length away and smile at her. "Don't worry she's okay now" and as soon as I say that I hear a sound come from outside and I quickly get up and go outside to find what made the sound. I half expected Keaton to be there eavesdropping on us and then have him threaten me with blackmailing me with the info and brag about how he could do tell anyone at anytime. But he wasn't there instead i see fallen over trash can and I'm stuck in thought for a bit. Then blaze breaks my train of thought and goes over to it and starts picking it up. I go over to assist her and after we get done picking it up i ask her what time it is and her response puts me into a rush to reach the gate because it's almost time to be let out. I tell her I have to leave now and she tells me good luck and smiles then waves goodbye. I wave back at her and start running towards the gate because before they let us out into the rest of the world we have to get in front of the gate. They do that because they need to count who's going out and as soon as where out they immediately close it back up again and it doesn't open again till four and a half hours have passed. Luckily I get there just in time for the head count to start after that happens they signal the guy in the watch tower to open the gate and when the process of it opening starts. You can feel the ground shake for a second then you can hear a bunch of mechanical sounds of gears turning and such and I'm excited as always to get out. And as soon as they give us the okay to leave I rush to the outside and start going towards Evitas place
It takes me about a three to five minutes to get to her house because she doesn't live all that far from the meta community walls. I knock on the door then open it inviting myself inside then walk up the stairs to see if my little darling is waiting for me. And she's not which is okay because I always get here before she does but sometimes she is here before me which is a nice change of pace sometimes but I don't mind what one happens. So I sit down on her bed and wait for her return.
I have been sitting here for an hour so far wondering what's taking her so long to get back I mean usually she's a few minutes late or so but never this long. I shake my head to push away the thoughts, I'm just overreacting but given the circumstances sometimes that's okay. I go back downstairs and walk outside which I would've started walking down the sidewalk but I notice that Evita was walking down the sidewalk in my direction. I decide to go up to her and she stops walking and hugs me I hug her back "how was your day"
"It was good" she responded
"Where were you, I was wait for like an hour" I asked
"I'm sorry about that, I was just at school, I went in late today but at least I went" she said with a happier tone
"You feeling better" I asked her
"A bit, but your here so at least it got better" she said
I smiled at her after she said that then we went into her house and up to her bedroom where we talked for a bit mostly about her school day today. She told me that because of human society being reduced to basically garbage that barley any students or teachers even showed up. There where ten students there and two teachers but she still goes there because she gets curious about things from time to time so she goes to school to learn things sometimes. Well at least that's what she tells me but I get up and interrupt her for a second and use my psychokinesis to lift her and make her fly. She then signals me to stop then when she gets on the ground again she looks at me. "let's do this outside, it will be more fun that way" i agree and take her hand and walk outside as she follows me I then again lift her in air a bit higher then normal because where outside. I can see her smile and hear her laugh and I couldn't help but smile back at her
After a bit of talking and lifting her up in the air occasionally as we talked I looked at the sky and asked her what time it was. When she told me I panicked a bit "sorry I have to go now, they mite think somethings up if I don't make in before the gates close" I said
"Well okay, I love you" she says as she hugs me and give me a good bye kiss
"I love you too, see ya tomorrow" I say and start running towards the gate
I made it a few minutes before the gates close and after I stop running I look at the sky and see that it's practically night already. I walked a few feet in the direction of my housing district but before I could really go anywhere Keaton super speeds in front of me "you enjoy your time away, weakling" he says with hate in his voice
"Just go away before I throw you into a wall" I say back with just as much hate in my voice
Then out of nowhere he grabs me and starts to super speed me all the way to my housing area and right when where in front of the house he stops and pushes me saying "Sorry about that but I wasn't sure such a weakling could make the trip" I tried looking at Keaton but then he was gone he must have sped away into the distance. Then I go inside and go over to my bed and lay down and try to calm down. I just don't understand why Keaton has to act like this I mean would be so bad for him to show his humanity. I push away all thoughts about Keaton and close my eyes and breath slowly and drift off to sleep.
