When I woke up the next day i felt like today was going to be great. I don't know why I feel that way, guess I'm just in a good mood today. When I got up and out of my bed I got dressed and such and went outside and started walking towards this recreational building that we have. It was built to help train metas in the use of there abilities and other such things. There are good training rooms and halls but that's not the buildings only purpose it also serves as entertainment with a movie theater, cafeteria and other such cafés for food and drink, and therapeutic section if you ever need it. I was going there to see how heavy an object I can lift and how many of them I can lift. And because the recreational building has weights that you wouldn't find in a normal gym. I can lift up to one point five tons with my psychokinesis and I hoped that maybe if I went today that maybe I would be able to lift slightly more then that. When I went inside the building oddly enough the first thing I see is blaze just sitting down in a waiting chair so before I go anywhere I go over to her and ask what she's doing here. I'm curious to know because blaze usually doesn't come here either, she doesn't really go to a lot of places. Blaze is a shy girl she doesn't really like to go where people are she mostly just sticks around and talks to the friends she already has. When she responds to my questions she states that she was trying to increase the intensity of the heat of her fire and that she acutely managed to burn the dummy alive in a matter of twenty seconds. I have to say I was impressed with her progress so far she has really come a long way and when she done I tell her why I'm here but part of me thinks she already knows but I figured I would tell her anyways. After that she gives me a smile and I go off to my own private training hall and start tying to lift the two ton weight and find myself unsurprisingly having a struggle to lift it. But then I put all my strength into it and find that I can lift it and only lift it if I had started moving the whole thing around I would've dropped it and made a hole in the floor which I don't need to pay for. I then start lifting ten twenty pound weights with no problem and start moving them around me at a high speed I then stop and put them down. Seeing how I wasn't making much progress on my lifting capabilities I then go over and lift the one point five ton weight and start moving it around at a slow speed then i picked up the pace. Moving it in circles around me till I feel a bit weak and I put it down and start to walk out of my training room and start going down the hall and I saw something that I have never seen before. Well before I could see anything I could hear Keaton's voice and he sounded a bit mean and mostly worried or panicked. Then before I can even have time to decide what one it is I see fireballs being shoot hitting the wall at the end of the hallway. Which I can only assume that blaze is on the other side of this conversation then I could hear Keaton say "come on it was no big deal, no need to get mad about this pointless topic". Which for whatever reason made blaze throw more and even hotter fireballs then all I see is a white streak go across the hallway and past me without a second thought I ask "what was that all about" but I got no response. When I went back to the lobby area of the building she was no longer in the waiting chair or the building so I quickly go out of the building and go to her house but when I entered no one was home. I looked around for a bit to see if I could find anything to give me a clue to where she went but I found nothing. I then locked the door and closed it as I went outside and started walking back towards the recreational building because I was still feeling a bit weak and decided to get some food from the cafeteria. But while I'm on my way I look up at the Sky and see that it's quite far into the day maybe I overslept just a little but hay I deserve to sleep through the day every now and again. And the main gate doesn't open till five o'clock so I still got time to get ready. As I enter the building and head towards the door to the cafeteria blaze suddenly appears from nowhere and asks to join me for lunch which I say she can because she doesn't go here much and it's nice to see her get up and go somewhere for once. We then enter through the doors and get in line and get the food we wanted and sat down. I take a fork and start eating the food I got while blaze just sort of looks at her meal for a few seconds or so and as soon as she starts to eat I ask her about what happen in the training hall with Keaton. She hesitated to say anything about it but after a moment of so she starts talking and she starts by saying how her and Keaton met. Then she says the unthinkable, She then says that after awhile her and Keaton started dating and that when they broke up he dumped her for whatever reason she wouldn't tell me. I just stood there in shock for a moment not even knowing what to say and eventually I asked what she saw in him to start dating but she wouldn't tell me that Either which is understandable. Then I noticed that she was sitting there kind of a embarrassed having said that I then smiled at her and said "it's alright" which calmed her down a great deal. Then before i could do anything else everyone stood up and started running to the door and went outside I then looked back at blaze who looked both surprised and scared at the same time. I asked what was happening but she didn't say anything she only pointed to the two big windows close to the top of the roof which scared me too. When I looked up at the two windows I could see the top of the main gate opening and I feared the worst. Quickly and without thinking I grabbed blaze by her arm and rushed outside when I got to the gate area i could see two guards holding Evita by her arms making sure she doesn't escape. I was ready to start throwing people around but blaze grabbed my arm stopping me from doing anything. I then look over at the front balcony of the building and the community overseer walked out to the front and leaned over to see Evita and then leaned back and said. "who is this and why do you bring them here"
"She a human charged with the crime of corruption of the meta" one of the Guards responded with
"Which meta" she asked
I look over at the guards as they shrugged then my teacher Clovis who helped me achieved the use of my abilities walked out on the front balcony and said "the meta that was corrupted is Callan" he says as he point at me in the crowd. Some people looked back at me and others started mumbling and talking then the overseer shoots lightning into the sky to quite everyone down. She then looks at me and says "Callan do you know this human" I then look over at Evita who still has tears in her eyes and she looks at me with this desperate look which almost seems me into a fury. I hesitate to answer him she then nods at his guards and one of them starts applying pressure with his thumb to her cuts and starts making them bleed and she starts screaming in pain. "Fine, stop it, I know her"
"Then you know what we must do with her" she responds with but before she can say another word Keaton super speeds out of nowhere and hits the two guards with a fast enough punch to send them flying. He then goes over to me and blaze and drags us over to Evita and once I get there I hug her tightly and she does the same to me. And before I can even say anything to her I can hear the overseer say "your dating a human, that's absurd"
"You don't know anything about it" I said back then Clovis says "Keaton what are you doing with them are you trying to act innocent" I then look back at him ready to punch him but I get interrupted as Clovis starts talking again "Keaton your the one that said Callan was being suspicious, you told me that on one of your runs through the town you saw him go into an abandoned house and not come back out till you all had to go back"
I looked at Keaton as mad as I could be and punched him in the face "why did you do that" I said almost yelling at him he just stood back up and looked at me saying in calm voice "I didn't think they would catch you"
"Calm down boys, Callan I had to keep a watch on you and I was patrolling on the wall one night when you decide to sneak over and away from it. Then I used my ability of turning invisible to follow you to blazes house and eavesdropped on your little conversation. I was surprised so I accidentally tipped over the trash can and turned invisible to get away" as he said that I went over to punch Keaton again with more force but he used his super speed to block it and said "that's getting us nowhere" I retracted my hand and before I could even have time to think. The overseer shoots lightning real close to Evita and I pulled her closer to me as fast as I could "give her to us Callan or I stop her heart" the overseer says as she has her aim on Evita I then go over to Keaton and tell him how I escaped and tell him to take us on the wall one by one. I tell him the order is Evita, blaze, and then me he then nods and super speeds over to Evita and starts rushing over to the wall. Me and blaze stand there defending ourselves, I kept throwing out telekinetic waves blocking or destroying any projectiles that came at us even the overseers lightning. And blaze turning up the intensity of her flames threatening to burn anyone who came close Then Keaton returns and grabs blaze and rushes her to the wall. When Keaton, blaze, and Evita are all on the wall I look over at them and they look back at me but before Keaton could even make a move to get over to me. I hear the overseer say "game over" she then fires his lightning straight at where my heart is and it sends me flying back a bit but before I could hit the ground I thought of a couple of things. The first thing was that I could hear an unearthly scream which I can only assume came from Evita and its as if Keaton read my mind he grabbed both blazes and Evitas arm and ran them down the wall and away from the community. Then when I finally landed I couldn't move and I could hear my heartbeat starting to get slower and the beats got more distant from each other. And thoughts of me and Evita started racing through my mind as I looked up at the sky and as my thoughts raced I smiled and a single tear went down my face. And as I heard my last two heartbeats i closed my eyes and said " I will always love you, Evita"
