once in a while

29 3 2

Once in a while,
I'd like you to enter through the door.
Not through windows, peeking and tip- toeing.
But with your every footstep clacking, leaving a mark on my floor.

Once in a while,
I would want you to communicate with me.
Not talk with words struggling from your teeth.
But the decrypted thumping in your chest, dripping from your mouth with ease.

Once in a while,
I'd like you to hold my hand and explore the world with me.
Go to all the places we've never been, in search of peace;
come let's be free.

Once in a while,
I hope one day you'll stay the night. When I open my eyes, I see yours.
Shining bright,
like a thousand lights.
