Prologue

Hi! My name is Daphne (Daff). I have a sister named Melanie (Mel) and a brother named Matthew (Matt). We all have blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes.
Me and Mel are 17, 18 on June 3. Matt is 21. Our parents died unexpectedly from a boat accident a few years back. We've been on our own since then.
Mel and I have never been on land, but Matt says we have to go soon because someone is after us. I don't know who though.
It's hard keeping our secret, I mean we can't let our tails be seen.
You've guessed it.
We're mermaids, and our identity has to be kept, no matter what. Once on land, no one can know about mermaids.
No one.
