Liam's POV
"Guys." I said, suddenly realizing something.
"Yeah, Liam?" Niall asked.
"My birthday was like 3 days ago." I said
"Oh my God Liam! We're so sorry we forgot!" Zayn yelled.
"Happy late birthday Liam." Daphne smiled.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BATMAN." Lou yelled.
"Happy belated birthday!" Niall, Zayn and even Harry said.
"Thanks guys and it's not your faults. I forgot too." I smiled weakly and continues staring at Melanie. I hope she wakes up soon. It's killing us all.
Melanie's POV
"My birthday was like 3 days ago." Liam spoke up or the first time in a while.
"Oh my God Liam! We're so sorry we forgot!" Zayn yelled, followed by everyone yelling happy birthday.
Oh God. They all, including Liam, forgot his birthday because of me. I feel bad.
It's terrible, y'know, the feeling you get when you take the spotlight from someone else's birthday. I hate it that I made everyone forget Liam's birthday.
It's terrible. I feel terrible.
**One month later**
September 12
Niall's POV
My birthday is tomorrow.
"Lads, my birthday is tomorrow." I said to everyone as we sat down in the cafeteria.
"Oh yeah." They all said.
For a while we all ate silently.
"I'm not sure how much longer I can take it." Daphne said suddenly.
"The feelings mutual." All the lads said together, including me.
"I hope she's awake for my birthday." Harry said sadly.
"Me too." I said.
Melanie's POV
I slowly peeled my eyes open, knowing it wouldn't work, but realizing I see light.
I looked around and saw empty chairs. Nobody was in the room, but I hear Lou, the boys are talking, so they must be coming.
I tried keeping my eyes open, but before the boys reached the door, the fell back down and I was again forcefully put back into the black hell hole I know as my life.
*Two Months Later*
November 12, 2011
Melanie's POV
I try to open my eyes again for the 1926384944729373 millionth times.
It's been 6 months and around 2 weeks since I went into a coma.
It's been the worst 6 months ever.
Quiet.
Dark.
Lonely.
Black.
Sad.
Terrible.
The boys haven't been as crying lately. I guess they've excepted the same fact as me.
That I'll never wake up.
A month ago, I woke up. But of course they weren't here.
I hear the door shut. I listened carefully.
"Nice to see you, Dr. Socorro." Harry said, half heartedly.
"Nice to see you too, son. I have some good and bad news." Doc said.
"Bad news?" Daphne asked.
"Yes. The bad news first?" Doc asked.
"No... Good news." Louis said.
"Okay. The good news is that her brain shows major signs of improvement. If she wakes up, her memory will be fine. Tests also shows she can hear everything and is taking it all in." Do explained.
"She can hear us? That's good. What's the bad news?" Liam asked.
"The bad news is, we have to cut life support on her soon. If she doesn't wake up by the 30th of this month, we have to cut her life support. I'm sorry boys."
What? Cut my life support?
No...this can't be happening!!!
Harry's POV
"NOOOOO! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" I yell.
"We have to, son." Doc says.
"Don't all me son." I snap.
"Harry calm the hell down. Damn." Daphne says.
"Calm down? They just tell me they have to cut my girlfriends life support and you tell me to calm down?" I yell.
"Yeah, I did. But you have no idea how much harder it is to have your SISTER's life support cut." Daphne said, voice dripping with hatred.
"I'll leave you six alone. Try singing, it's helps even if you can't sing." Doctor said.
"Escuse me?" Niall said. "Do you NOT realize who we are? Do you not realize why thousands of creaming girls have been outside your hospital for the past 6 months?!"
"No... Should I?" Dr. Socorro asked.
"IT'S BECAUSE WE'RE ONE DIRECTION!" Niall yelled.
"Oh...sorry." Dr. Socorro said, shrugging and walking out.
"The nerve of some people...." Liam says.
