Princess and Dragon Guy

The Second Task

Carter's POV:
I met in the place Charlie told me. I'm planing on telling who I truly am to him. I hope he won't reject me. Hands covered my eyes.
" Guess who?"
" Um.. Fred! No... George... No... oh I give up. Who is it?"
" None other than Charlie Weasley. Hey, are you ok?"
" I need to tell you something. I'm...I'm Princess Sophia Carter Dumbledore. I'm supposedly the last dragon rider."
" That's amazing. I want to show you something. Follow me."
I did as he said and we walked apon a beautiful stone. It was green. It started shaking. I realized it wasn't a stone, but a dragon egg. The last one of its kind. I looked around for Charlie but I can't find him.
The egg hatched and out popped a green dragon. She's so cute.
' Hello? Are you my mommy?"
' No little one. I'm your rider!'
The small dragon nodded and followed me back to where I think Charlie is. I was right! When I got to him I gave him a huge hug. He smiled.
  " Thank you Charlie! How can I repay you?"
   He thought for a moment then answered.
  " You could kiss me."
   I shook my head.
  " No! I could lose control.  Tomorrow's the full moon. So how about afterwards?"
  " Alright then. You still have t bite me though."
   I sighed. I didn't want to do that.
  " Yes I know."
   The next morning I found Charlie and told him to go to the clearing with Vic when the full moon shows itself.
   I felt the all to familiar pain travel through my bones. I groaned in agony. After the shift I howled. I caught a human sent. I ran to it. I found the human. I bit it before realizing I knew who it is. It's my mate. I run away from the clearing.
   When I wake up I go to look for Charlie. I run into Vic.
  " Vic! Where's Charlie?"
  " He's in the Infirmary."
   I gasped than ran into Hogwarts. I passed several rooms before I got to two doors. I open them and walk in. I see Uncle Albus. He looked somewhat disappointed in me.
  " As you see Charlie Weasley was bitten last night."
  " I know."
  " Good then... How?! You never remember anything from your shift! Only if a person is close to you."
   I saw Charlie and ignored what my uncle had said. I gave Charlie a small hug.
  " C-C-Carter?"
   The Weasleys turned to look at him. I had tears in my eyes. Everyone looks confused.
  " Yeah. I'm here Charlie. I b-bit you."
  " Yes I know. H-help me sit up."
   I helped him sit up. I was so happy he was alive. I made him a werewolf but he's alive. I hug him. He hugs back tightly. He moved his lips towards me ear. He whispered something.
  " You still owe me that kiss."
   I blushed. Brightly. Uncle Albus looked a little mad but realize what we are. He turns to the other Weasleys.
  " We must let them talk alone."
  " She almost killed my son!"
  " She has her reason. Now come on."
   They all leave glaring at me. I turn back to Charlie.
  " Once I knew it was my mate I fled. I hurt you! Charlie if I killed you..."
  " Shh. You didn't. You won't kill me. I love you Carter."
  " I love you too Charlie."
   He kissed me. I heard someone gasp. We turned to see Molly. I hid my face in my hair causing Charlie to brush it away. He just smiled at me. Molly leaves. Probably to tell the rest of her family. Charlie turns my head to face his.
  " You had to so we can be full mates."
   He leaned in and kissed me again. This time I kissed back. It almost became full out snogging but we were interrupted by the rest of the Weasleys. I almost growled at them.
  " Charlie explain! Now!"
   I almost growled at Molly again if it weren't for Charlie. Ginny and Molly step over to him. This time I did growl. They looked shocked but continued. I stood up and went in front of Charlie's bed protectively. They still went towards Charlie. This time I shifted and stepped in front of them.
   Uncle Albus walked in. He saw what was going on and grabbed Ginny and Molly then held them back.
  " Albus what are you doing?!"
  " I would not get that close to Charlie while he is injured. She will do anything to protect her mate. She will also be possessive of him."
  " Did you say her mate?"
  " Yes Molly. That's the reason Charlie was bitten. So they could become true mates after he accepted her."
  " Couldn't he just reject her?! He should! She almost killed him!"
   I cowered from her. She wants Charlie to reject me. He can't. He won't.
  " Mum stop! When she bit me I wanted her to. And once she realized she bit her mate she fled away. Fast. She didn't want to hurt me. She loves me. And I love her."
   I don't think he realized I was cowering under his bed. I let out a whimper. I felt him move around looking for me. I heard Uncle Albus whisper something.
  " It's ok Carter. You can come out."
   I crawl out low to the ground then jump onto the bed. I lay down next to Charlie and rest my head on his lap. He smiles and pets me. I look towards the Weasleys. They're all smiling except Molly. She was glaring at me. I whimpered softly. Charlie looked at me and frowned. He looked at Molly and got a little mad.
  " Mum stop! You're scaring her! I wanted this. She didn't. She never wanted to hurt me!"
   She looked at me and frowned. She stopped glaring but I'm still scared of her.
   Charlie's healed but I can't find him anywhere.  It's time for the task and I have a spell that let's me breath under water for two hours at a time.
   Emerald has grown and we got a lot closer. I now can speak to her through mind. That's proof I'm a dragon rider.
  'Emerald! Guide me once I'm in the water.'
  'Ok.'
   The canon went off and I dived in. I saw Emerald's claws and followed them. She stopped and I looked down. I saw Charlie and others. I grab him and take him to the surface. He opens his eyes and gasps for air. We swim to the platform and Fred helped us up. I hugged Charlie right as he was helped up.
   Harry finally finished and shot up onto the platform. They called what place we're in. I'm in first.
