Princess and Dragon Guy

The First Task

Carter's POV:
It's time for the champions to be chosen. Vic and I both have five Gems in our pockets waiting. We sat down across from each other. Those on my side sat with me. Those on his side at with him.
" From Dumstrang Victor Krum!"
I gave him the five Gems and he went up.
" From Beubaxton Fluer Delacore!"
" From Hogwarts Cedric Diggory!"
I cheered for the other boy to be polite. For Fluer...well I'm just hoping she dies. The flames turn a bright blue. Two pieces of parchment flew out.
" Harry Potter? And Sophia Dumbledore?"
I usually cringe at my first name but I was to shocked. Uncle Albus called our names again so we went up. He handed us the parchments with our names on them. I was now scared.
Vic looked shocked when I walked in. He asked what happened but I was to scared to tell him. Igor, Uncle Albus, and the giant who runs Beubaxton walks in.
" How did Carter's name come out? There are only supposed to be three champions!"
" I don't know Igor. Sophia Carter Dumbledore! How did this happen?"
I cringed at my first name. I really hated it.
" I don't know Uncle Albus. Igor what will I do? I'm scared."
They both gave me comforting hugs.
" I don't know Carter. Albus also needs to say something."
" If you don't find your mate this year you shall live here."
I nodded. I knew this was coming.
" Sophia you need to contact Remus."
I cringed at my first name once more.
" Ok. Just stop calling me that. It's Carter."
He nodded. I went to a desk and found a piece of parchment. Remus Lupin is my godfather. He's just like me. A werewolf.
Dear Remus,
The Triwizard Tournament is at Hogwarts. I'm here with the boys. Vic got in. I'm proud of him. Somehow Harry and I also got in. I'm scared. Tell Sirius please.

I sent Remus the letter and went to the ship with Vic.
A couple days went by. Harry came speeding towards me.
" The first task. Dragons. Follow me into the forest."
I did as he said. We reached a place in the forest and he told me to stop. He pointed to five beautiful dragons.
" You can go Harry. I want a closer look at them."
He nodded and left. I went into the clearing with the dragons and stepped forward. One was really grouchy. I stepped towards her slowly. I bowed to her and she bowed back. I walked up to her cage and spoke to her in her language.
' What's wrong?'
' I have a rock on my foot. Can you help me?'
' Of course Sweetie.'
She lifted her foot and I saw a rock wedged between two scales. I grabbed it and pulled it out carefully.
' There you are.'
' Thank you. I'm Nora.'
' I'm Carter. Nice to meet you.'
' As it is to you.'
I smiled at the polite dragon and walked towards the other ones. I helped calm them down. When I finished I turned to see the trainers with their mouths hanging open. A red head walked out of a tent. He smelled like pine. Pine and dragon scales.
He looked at the trainers and asked what happened. They all pointed to me. I had turned towards the Norwegian Richback and pet it.
" Your good with dragons."
I spun around to see the red head talking to me. He had beautiful green eyes that I got mesmerized in.
" I-I love dragons. I'm Carter Dumbledore. You are?"
" Charlie Weasley. Percy told me about you."
I nodded. I was still looking at his eyes. Something clicked inside my brain. Charlie's my mate. This will be hard.
" I have to go. Bye!"
With that I ran to the ship. I wrote to Remus again.
Dear Remus,
I've found my mate. His name is Charlie. He has amazing green eyes and he likes dragons. I'm hoping to learn more about him. I just realized I left with no reason. I have to tell him!

I sent Remus the letter then went back to the forest. I found Charlie and walked over to him. I soon saw a girl flirt with him. He looks like he could care less about her. I got mad and walked over to her. I pushed her away from him.
" MINE!" I said that while growling at her to scare her away. It worked.
I turned to Charlie who looked very confused.
" Why'd you do that?"
Charlie's POV:
I watched as Carter grabbed the girl from in front of me. She growled at the girl.
" MINE!"
I was very confused at why she did that. She turned to look at me.
" Why'd you do that?"
She just looked in my eyes and smiled. She shook her head.
" I'm sorry for earlier. I need to explain something to you."
I loved the sound if her voice. And her beautiful eyes were even better.
" Ok so from the start. I'm a werewolf. You are my mate. You can either accept me or reject me. It's your choice."
How could I reject her? I pretended to think about if for a minuet.
" I accept. Now anything else I need to know?"
" For us to fully be together you need to become a werewolf. In other words, I have to bite you in two weeks."
" Ok."
I already feel the urge to kiss her but I don't. I told her to go and get ready for the first task. I believe she'll do great. She calmed all the dragons in under a minuet. They'll all recognize her and know she'll mean no harm to them.
   It's time for the first task and I'm a little scared for Carter. Fred seems to notice my behavior.
  " You ok?"
  " Yeah. Just nervous about what the dragons'll do."
  " Understandable."
Carter's POV:
   The canon went off and I jumped out. I walked staging up to Nora. I was so thankful I got her.
   The spectators were a little scared at my actions. I just gave a small laugh then grabbed the egg. Nora padded over to me and let me on her back. Uncle Albus looked shocked. I didn't know why.
Once I got into the tent I was attacked by the twins. They gave me hugs. I noticed Charlie looked very jealous. I growled at the twins and they moved away from me. I walked over to Charlie and smiled. He smiled back. He gave me a note then left. I opened it up and read it.
-Meet me at the dragon clearing after dinner.

I smiled at his secretiveness. I walked out of the tent to run into something. I grabbed my wand real quickly.
" Calm down Carter. We need to speak in my office after lunch."
I nod then head to the ship to change. I put on my black skin tight jeans, a black tank top, a black see trough blouse, and some black boots.
After lunch I went straight to my uncles office. I entered and he didn't smile like usual. I was now confused.
" What's wrong Uncle Albus?"
" I believe you're a dragon rider. Does anyone know who you really are?"
" No. Not yet anyway. I'm planing on telling mate a couple days after I find him."
