The 4,196 citizens of Daern, Iowa, were surprised when a black Camaro roared into town. Inside, three bags of clothes, two computers and her favorite books were beside Izzy. She wasn't amused by this town or the way they gawked at her car.

She finally found the house where her father had taken residence in. It was large, not as large as some of their manors, with three stories plus, from what Izzy could see, an attic. It was painted white and Izzy could smell the newly painted house when she got out of the car. Almost two minutes after she got out, a woman and a huge Saint Bernard walked out.

Krystal, that was Izzy's first thought but Krystal looked normal. She was average height, had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. She wore a pair of rolled up blue jeans, a cardigan and sandals and she had the warmest smile on her lips.

It disgusted Izzy that she looked like an actual mom, not like any supermodel that her father'd slept with.

"You must be Isabelle. Your father says you like being called Izzy?" Krystal asked, walking off the porch. Izzy couldn't smell any perfume and saw only eyeliner and foundation on her.

She looked normal

"We've all been so excited, especially Miranda." Krystal babbled, clasping her hands together as she stopped in front of Izzy. "I'm sure you be the best of friends."

"Really?" Izzy said dryly, already missing the Tower and the Avengers.

"Yes!" She beamed as the sun caught her blonde strands, highlighting them beautifully. "Boys!" She shouted over her shoulder. Not a moment later, two boys, one with coiffed blonde hair and a lip piercing and the other with short brown hair and tan skin, came out with a pretty blonde girl drifting after them.

They all stopped in front of Izzy and she absently remembered a battlefield, her enemies on one side while she stood defensively on the other.

"This is Miranda and Nathan, the twins." Krystal pointed out the girl and the boy with the piercing, "And this is Freddy. Guys, this is Izzy, Tony's daughter."

"Nice to meet you." Izzy forced a smile. "Is my dad here?"

"He's in his lab." Izzy felt a smile tug on her lips as Krystal now forced a smile. "The boys can get your things while Miranda takes you to Tony."

"Oh, I can get-" Miranda had Izzy's wrist in a surprisingly strong grip as she dragged her across the lawn, through the porch and into the house. It was welcoming with warm colors and open doors.

"Stairs are over here." Miranda said, releasing Izzy's wrist. Izzy rubbed her wrist with a frown and followed Miranda through the living room and to a plain doorway.

When they got to the bottom of the steps, Izzy was alarmed to see the door was unlocked and there was no keypad.

"Tony?" Miranda called. He popped his head up from a tool table, surrounded by car parts and caught Izzy's eyes.

"Iz?" He said.

"Tony." Izzy replied coolly, crossing her arms. He grimaced.

"I'll be upstairs." Miranda said taking a step back. "Um, Tony? Mom said to ask you if I could borrow one of the cars. Me and my friends want to go to the movies and spend the night here."

"That's fine. Take Charlotte." He said to her. "2nd keys to the right." She beamed and went up the stairs and Izzy's father turned back to her. "I know you're upset."
