Jennifer Aniston as Krystal Reed-Stark

--

It was 11:45 when Izzy decided to come out from her new room. Her father, Krystal, even Nathan, had come to try and drag her out for supper but when Izzy was stubborn, she was stubborn

So, she tiptoed past her father and Krystal's room, Nathan's room and Freddy's room and down the steps. She slipped past a large door (the Rec Room she figured) and into the kitchen, only to freeze when she saw Miranda and her friends.

The one dark haired girl, shorter than the other, looked at least half Hispanic. Her rich dark hair was tossed in curls down her back and huge doe eyes stared at Izzy in surprise. The other girl was taller with paler skin and the brightest blue eyes Izzy'd ever seen. Her sassy look made Izzy think of Darcy before the thought disappeared.

"You're Belle, right?" The Hispanic said loudly, her voice echoing their the room.

"Ava." The other girl scolded. "Mrs. R - er, S - said that she liked to be called Izzy. Idiot." Miranda rolled her eyes at both of them.

"Hi, Izzy." She said, tucking a bottle of whiskey behind her back with a frantic smile. Izzy rose her eyebrow delicately. "Um, don't tell Mom?" She said sheepishly, revealing the amber bottle.

Izzy shrugged. "Personally, I prefer bourbon to whiskey but it's what you like." The three girls gaped. "I grew up with Tony Stark," Izzy said dryly, "you honestly think I don't drink?"

They gaped at her.

"God, it's true, Starks' are wild." Ava giggled loudly. Everything she did seemed loud to Izzy.

"God, it's true, normal people are annoying." Izzy muttered under her breath, walking past them to the fridge to see if her dad brought some Schwarma from New York. She found it quickly in a paper bag with "Tony" written in his quick black strokes. She snagged it and pulled out a sandwich.

"That's Tony's." Miranda commented as Izzy took a bite of it, sitting on a stool by the granite island.

"I don't give a fuck." Izzy said carelessly, mindset on her schwarma sandwich in front of her.

"Hey, dumb asses, will you shut up?" Nathan snapped. Izzy hadn't even realized he'd come down but there he was, lip piercing taken out with his blonde flat ruffled and flattened in a pair of blue flannel pants and no shirt. Izzy made a "not bad" face at his six pack before going back to her sandwich.

"Nathan." Ava squeaked, smoothing her oversized Mickey Mouse shirt. Izzy was unimpressed. Teenage girls and their teenage crushes, she thought dryly.

"Hey, Ave." He said in a low, growly voice. She swooned. "Now, can you guys shut up so I can get some sleep? I'm meeting the guys at Roy's tomorrow."

"Roy's?" Izzy asked.

"Hey, Isabelle." Nathan said after getting over his surprise of seeing her. "You got hungry?"

"I've spent days without food." Izzy snorted. "I was just bored. Hey, does dad keep the lab unlocked?"

"Not at night, no." Miranda shook her head. "Says there are dangerous chemicals that he doesn't want unlocked. It's for our safety."

"Safety, my ass. He probably has a Iron Man suit tucked away he doesn't want messed with." Izzy took a final bite before straightening out. "What's Roy's?"

"A 24/7 diner." The other girl spoke up. "My Uncle Roy owns the joint."

"Awesome." Izzy jumped off the stool and cracked her neck. "Maybe I'll check it out."

"It's twelve at night." Ava said in bewilderment. Izzy eyed the clock.

"Actually, it's 11:54." She smirked at them before pushing past them and started up the stairs to her temporary room. She heard footsteps behind her.

"Hey," Nathan said and Izzy paused to turn at him. He was running a hand through his hair and he gave her a grin from where he was in his doorway. "If you see two scary looking guys in the right booth in the back, tell 'em to call me about Boothe, will ya?" He asked.

"Sure." She shrugged. "Night."

"Night." He echoed, watching her duck inside her room and come back out, now wearing a leather jacket over her red tank top and black combat boots over her blue jeans. She disappeared down the stairs, leaving Nathan wondering about his new, mysterious stepsister.

She found Roy's relatively easily. It was across the street from Melanie's Boutique and Manny's Mini Mart. It was lit up in golden and bright purple light and only had three vehicles, one small car and two junky trucks, in the parking lot. She swerved sharply and parked, practically in two places.

She could feel eyes on her as a pretty blonde waitress set her in a small booth. From what she could see, there was a cook in the back, two waitresses and two groups of boys in the way back.

She flipped through the menu, eyeing the greasy options idly.

"You must be new here?" A boy with blonde hair and a spotless jersey said. I need to get back on my game, Izzy thought. She hadn't even notice he sat down. "Names Dan, Dan Williams."

"Fantastic." Izzy drawled, eyes drawing to a delicious looking "Roy Burger". "Now go fuck yourself." She drew her teeth over her lip as she eyed the options, wondering to herself what Roy Fries were.

"What." He said it as a statement, not a question. "But I'm Dan Williams, the quarterback of the Daern High School Wilderbeasts!"

"Don't give a fuck." Izzy sing songed.

The two boys in leather were cackling at poor Dan. "Looks like there's one girl that can resist you, Williams." One howled.

"Shut it, Peters!" Dan spat back, standing up quickly. He glared down at Izzy who honestly didn't give a shit. "You'll regret rejecting me." He declared before stomping over to his friends. There was a ding as they left.

"Dumbass." Izzy grumbled. The waitress reappeared with a smile and Izzy's Sprite. "Hi, can I get the deep fried pickles as an appetizer, then the Roy Burger Supreme Meal?"

"Sure, sweetie." The girl (whose nametag read Marcy) bubbled. She wrote it down on her notepad and smirked down at Izzy. "And good job with my brother. He's a total dickbag." She sauntered away leaving Izzy bemused.

"Nicely done." Somebody whistled. Izzy sighed and looked up at the boys in leather. "I'm Baine, that's Caine." Baine greeted. "We're the Thompson brothers."

"Nathan says he wants to know what's going on with Boothe." Izzy said getting right to the point. She flipped through messages on her phone. There were a few from Darcy, one from Titania and several from Jacen.

"Hot diggity dog, you're Nathan's new sister, right?" Izzy paused at glaring at Jacen's new frantic message to look up at Caine.

"Hot diggity-"

"Dog?"

Baine and Izzy said this together, bewildered.

"What?" Caine asked. Izzy just shook her wild mane of brown hair, wondering what exactly she'd gotten herself into.
