I realize that I've been neglecting this story ^^' I'm sorry for that but school is being a pain In my behind and I seriously will try to keep up with the updates. Anyway on to le story! And also in case nobody's noticed, I suck at writing first person.

*Malinda's POV*
Damn knot, loop already!
I've been trying for at least 20 minutes to tie my raggedy old bedsheets together but the damn thing is too thin and I keep losing the end!
I can still hear Thurston rummaging around downstairs, with the occasional bad singing that sounds like it could be Adele's 'Hello' song. But I'm not too sure.
I continue to attempt to tie the accursed knot in the last sheet and after at least 10 more unsuccessful minutes it finally decided it's going to be generous and work.
I cheer mentally and admire my handiwork.
Of course it doesn't look like it'd even hold a kitten, it's worth a shot if I'm gonna get out of here.
With all the hope I could possibly have, I tossed the sheet-rope out my open window. It wasn't quite long enough to touch the ground but it was close enough.
I took a deep breath and started to climb down the sheet, my heart racing. Luckily, when I reached the bottom, the sheet still held so maybe if I took it with me nobody would notice I left.
I sigh in relief and yank the sheet down from the window, rolling it up and stuffing it inside my small satchel. "Well, it's time to go."

Wow this is really short and bad... anyway, next chapter will focus on where Malinda plans to go and what good ol' Beth is up to.
