Keeping Secrets

Yo guys! I decided that I'm gonna make a fairytale imagine bc I always have imagined Hayes as a werewolf and a girl character as a mermaid, a part 2 to this imagine is TBA but hopefully I can roll this all into one imagine if its not too long. Enjoy this one!

"I don't wanna go swimming right now Hayes, It's my time of the month babe", I skilfully lied. We were both 16 years old and our parents were both at a timeshare on the cruise ship. We've been best friends since kindergarten. We've told each other some itof our biggest secrets to each other. There's this one secret that I have never told him before that might unravel soon:

I have always been a mermaid ever since I was in kindergarten. Here's the background on what had and how this happened: There was this enchanted pond that I wandering around in, and I accidentally skinned my knee after I fell into it. It just so happened that an eclipse took over the sun and the pond started to bubble. I had no clue what was going on and when the eclipse finished, I had grown a long, scaly, tail and a seashell top to go with it. I was sorta shocked at first but I always have loved it. But I never have told my parents or Hayes about because I feel like I wouldn't be the same person they thought I was.

"Ok Y/N I'll see you soon!" He went to go in the pool to swim. I secretly went back to my room to get my swim bag and go through the lobby to get off the ship to swim in the ocean. When I found a chair to set my stuff on, I took off my cover up, and ran into the ocean. I found a huge rock to transform myself behind. No I'm not a witch, but I have a special bracelet that lets me be a mermaid whenever I please. And it helps me breathe underwater. I untied my hair from its bun and tossed my hair tie on the rock.

"I wish to become a Mermaid", I chanted out loud but not loud enough for someone to hear me say it. I suddenly felt a warm sensation in my legs as I saw them transform from legs to a glittering tail underwater. As that was happening, There were seashells growing around my upper half. I was now in full mermaid form. I happily sighed as I dove under water to see all the lovely sights of the reefs and the marine life. The cruise ship had stopped at Big Island, HI. There were some sea turtles swimming by and I admired them from a distance. As I was swimming in the water, I was thinking about what would happen if I told Hayes about my secret. I got a little worried at the thought. After what felt like hours, I finally went back to the rock to redeem my former self. "I wish to become a human", I recited. I once again felt a warm feeling in my tail, and they split into 2. They formed into legs with lil toes too. And my knees pushed out again. My seashells slid away from me, leaving me in my swim top.

I walked back onto the boat and went straight to my room, hoping Hayes wouldn't see me like this. I walked fast and I was holding my beach bag in my arms with my hair dripping wet. I was just about to reach for the doorknob when I heard a yell from Hayes directed at me. He was shirtless and the ridges of his abs were distracting me."Y/N! Where'd you go? Why's your hair wet? And what's in your bag?"

Damn he asked that fast, "I went into the ocean, I swam for a long time, and I had extra clothes in my bag". Why is he so worried about me? All I did was just go for a swim in the ocean. I also forgot to mention that I have a GIANT crush on him. I have no clue if he has feelings for me, but I'm too moody to be liked back by someone. In fact, I have never been in love where things were right. That's why I am alone a lot, perks of being a mermaid. "How come your so worried about me?" I asked. "You were gone for a long time and I wanted to know if you wanted to go to the teen club tonight with me?"

I thought for a minute. Maybe this was a good chance for me to say yes and have a moment with him, but it could be bad because something unlucky would happen. "I would love to Hayes! I just have to go get changed first", I chuckled.

*1 hour later*

I was nearly done with curling my hair, and I was wearing a aqua blue sundress along with some tan colored espadrilles. Naked 3 makeup pallete was the eyeshadow I was using, and it looked really nice. I heard a buzz from my phone thinking it was a text from Hayes. And it was. Here's what it said:
