A/N:
Okay, don't worry I'm not going to spam y'all with chapters like I did last week. I just had an idea for chapter ten, it's not gonna be super long, but I wanted to write it down before I forgot about it to write it next Friday.
I also thought that that song up there is kinda fitting for this chapter. :)"Toby." The man with the glasses croaks out. He stares at me with a bewildered expression as tears fall down my face. This is the first time I've cried in front of the man, and he clearly wasn't expecting me to.
I don't like talking about how I caused my mother so much pain. First, her beloved daughter dies in a car wreck. Second, I kill her husband...she didn't love him anyway...she feared him. She should thank me for doing what I did. Third, her only son caught fire to her neighborhood, ran off and made her think he died too which only gave her more grief since she lost her whole family in one week, and then I appear on the news with the caption of Tobias Rogers killed two children outside of the forest.
I can never go back to her and ask for her forgiveness...she'll be afraid of me...she'll take me back to this horrible place...to be tested on like some sort of science rat.
"Toby." The man with the glasses says. I slowly lift my head up to meet his gaze and his expression shocks me. It's completely empty of emotion and his glare is almost as though he wants to kill me. "I have a confession to make."
I quirk my eyebrow at him in confusion. He shifts his gaze to the ground where he looks at the whip marks and a sudden feeling of fear washes over me. My eyes widen as I see the guards fiddling with something on their belts that isn't the guns.
The man stands up and walks towards me and I stand up so I could tower over him even though I'm strapped down in three straight jackets and chains.
"We got a call from someone dear to you that instructed us on where to find you and to bring you here. We were only supposed to bring you, but your friends put up a fight." He says.
"Who is the person?" I croak.
"We were only supposed to bring you here to try and change you so you wouldn't have these murderous feelings and thoughts." He continues as though I never spoke.
"Who is the person?" I ask again.
"We had no choice but to take a few of your friends as well. They wouldn't let you go, poor things. They didn't have a chance against my men." He says.
"I w-was there. Now who is the person?!" I'm getting quite irritated with this man for blatantly ignoring my words. I force my eyes into a glare and he stares straight at me.
"Your mother." He says.
My heart drops to my stomach and what I feared him to say, he said it.
"No..." I say.
"I'm sorry Toby."
"That's-s not TRUE!" I spit in his face and he flinches at this before wiping the corner of his mouth to be rid of my saliva.
"I'm afraid it is, Toby. Your mother couldn't handle all of the death reports on the television all linking to you and your team members!" He says.
"I D-DON'T B-BELIEVE YOU!" I shout at him. I struggle against the straight jackets again and I jerk forward to try and rip the chains from the wall to set me at least a little bit free. Anger pulses through me and the man with the glasses backs up in fear.
"Take them off." The man says to his guards. They look at him curiously before the man snaps the order back at them. They rush towards me and one of them holds me still while the other unhooks the chains and takes one jacket off at a time.
I feel relieved when the heavy weight is off of my body. I feel naked though, seeing as they took my hoodie, scarf, and goggles from me. I stood there, shirtless, with just my jeans on.
"Cuff him." The man sneers. Now it's my turn to be confused. The guards cuff my wrists. As they do so, they look at the nasty scars on my hands from when I ripped my skin off of them in anxiety after Lyra's death. They stare at the man with the glasses and wait for their next order.
"Now, Toby." The man says as he approaches me. "I understand that you don't feel pain."
"W-where did this come f-from?!" I shout at him.
"Let me talk, boy." He snarls. I glare at him before I launch myself towards him to strangle him. The guards grab my arms and pull me back and I struggle under their grip. Seeing as I'm a twig compared to them, I eventually give up. "We need to try a different strategy to get you to stop with the murderous thoughts."
"Th-that'll never h-happen." I snap.
"Oh, but we'll try. After this, you will tell us more of your story and you won't fight us. Until you show signs of not wanting to murder me, we'll stop with the treatment." He says.
"What's th-the treatment?" I ask hoarsely.
"Bring the cuffs to the hook, gentlemen." The man ignores me. The guards do as they're told and they hook my handcuffs to a hook in the wall. "Do your duty. I'm going to go talk to the girl."
"DON'T YOU D-DARE T-TOUCH HER!" I shout as I lurch forward again. At this, I was given a sharp slash across my abdomen and I look up and glare at the guard who did this. He held a whip in hand and my eyes widened at him.
I squirm to be free of my trap, when I feel more of the slashes. I don't feel their pain, but I can still feel them.
Tears burn in my eyes as I feel them whipping me harder and harder. With each whip, I'm sent turning my body so they can whip my sides, my back, my neck, anywhere they can touch with their whips. One of them whips my leg and I feel it touch my skin instead of the fabric of my jeans, so I'm guessing it ripped them.
One whip, however, felt completely different from the others. I felt something stab my back as the whip slashed across it and I scream out in pain.
I felt pain in that one...
It hurt like hell and I want it to stop immediately. The tears that burned my eyes fell down my cheeks and burned the cuts on my chest. A few more painful slashes hit me before they stopped altogether and they unhooked me from the hook and left me slouched on the floor; crying in utter pain.A/N:
Now, before I get hate comments on the fact that Toby isn't supposed to feel pain, those whips dug deep into his skin after a while. They got under his first few layers of skin and went deeper. I think even if you couldn't feel pain, something like that would cause you pain.
Now, let's talk about Toby's mom sending him here. Did she really do it? Or is the man with the glasses lying to get Toby riled up?
I hate the abuse in this chapter, but it's part of the plan I have for a later chapter :3
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, please do remember to comment and vote and I will see y'all on the flipside!!!!!!!!
