Luke gets an offer for being signed to a record label. The boys go to the party. Malum gets worried. Tells Luke not to accept. Luke mentions tight money. Malum still thinks the signing is a bad idea.
{A.N.} I really like this story so far, and I have everything planned out, including each of your deaths :)

Working for a crappy record label that no one has ever heard of before could be a challenge at times. Luke worked hard at making music, and he was good at it. The only problem was that he just didn't make enough money, so he had to work two jobs. Even then, however, he and Ashton were still struggling with money.
Their power was shut off, and last night Alyssa had been crying because her lamp beside her crib wasn't on. Luke felt so bad. He couldn't afford to pay the bills. There wasn't anything else he could do. He was already working two jobs, and there was no way he was resorting to prostitution. They may be desperate, but Luke was married and wasn't about that way of life. Not that he had anything against it, but he just didn't want to turn down that road.
All Luke wanted was to have the money to take care of Ashton and Alyssa. And he couldn't, right now. He wasn't making enough money. Luke needed more money. But he didn't know where to go. Maybe Ashton helping would be good, but someone had to watch their child and they couldn't afford daycare and Liz worked during the day.
Life was just a struggle right now and that was all that was on Luke's mind as he drove to work. He was on his way to record one of his songs for his album.
That's the thing, Luke had a small fanbase, and they all knew he was married and had a child. What they didn't know was how bad he was struggling. He had a family to feed and there were nights when they didn't eat at all.
Luke sighed and pulled into the parking lot, walking into the small studio. It looked like an old, brick apartment building. Inside his manager and crew were waiting, and when Luke checked his watch he groaned. Five minutes late. Again.
Alex gave Luke a sad smile, but Jack glared at the boy. Luke frowned.
"I'm sorry," he started.
"Why are you late this time, Hemmings? That's the third time this week." Jack said sternly.
Luke frowned. "Our power got shut off. Alyssa was crying all night because the lamp in her room wasn't on and she was in the dark," he explained, frowning deeper as he remembered his baby girl crying. He ran a hand through his messy hair.
Alex looked at Jack. "Jack, cut him some slack. They're struggling to eat."
Luke nodded and he really liked the idea of Alex and Jack helping him and his starving family. Luke and Ashton made the mistake of having a child at only 20 and 21. They weren't ready but Ashton wanted a baby so bad and the breakthrough was helping so many LGBT+ families have their own children and Ashton just wanted his own child. Luke could never tell him no, so they had Alyssa, but one thing is for sure they would not be having another any time soon.
