My head clanked shut and I rubbed the back of my head as Golden Freddy looked at me.
"So that's all that's left of him?" he asked. I nodded slowly.
"Yes...at least, I believe so." I replied. I sighed through my nose and stood up slowly, my old joints creaking. I secretly wished that someone would come in and repair me, at least my endoskeleton so that I could walk well again.
The reason why Golden Freddy was looking into my suit was because he wanted to study the body inside for some cause. It was unknown to me, but I could care less unless someone gave me a ticket to get me away from it. I walked over to Fredbear, who was studying the pictures drawn on the walls.
"Why on earth is there almost nothing about us anymore?" he asked. I just let out a soft chuckle.
"Because I'm quite sure they didn't want to remember the Bite. They wanted to throw us out of their minds." I replied. He looked at me with dark, sad eyes. I had never in my entire life seen my friend wrought with this much guilt.
"I want to apologize to that little boy. I want to make everything in my power good for him." he said. My smile began to curve into a frown and I looked at the posters with him.
"Fredbear, you know that we can't change the past. I can't help but blame myself for a part of it as well. If I could've just fixed you or saved that child, then maybe...things would be different. But this is the path that's been laid out for us, and we have to walk it." I explained. Fredbear slowly looked at me, a glint of humor in his eyes.
"You sounded like some old book right then." he said. I smiled at him.
"And you can't be serious in situations like this." I replied. He faced the wall again and we both stared at the pictures for a little bit in an uncomfortable silence.
Suddenly a shriek rang through out the halls, making me jolt. My head veered around, searching for the source of the screaming, Fredbear searching with me.
"Where did that come from?!" he exclaimed. I ran down the dark halls blindly, the dim light giving me no help in the blackness. I could hear Fredbear sprinting behind me as well, trying to use me as a guide through the dark. I skirted to a sudden stop, my metallic feet screeching against the tile floor and giving me no friction on the hard floor. I waved my arms around trying to keep myself up, and then looked around. Freddy, Foxy and Golden Freddy were peering up at the ceiling in fear. Fredbear stopped beside me and we both looked up. The sight made me gasp with horror.
A horrible-looking Mangle was hanging there, Chica's head in her jaws. She was grinning at us through the head, and her hands were holding the body. Her face was torn and her eyes were completely black. She spat out the head and it clanked to the ground, making us jump backwards. I could tell her gaze was scanning over all of us, and she just let out a creepy sigh.
"What a pathetic chicken. It's a good thing that the rest of you are good at defending yourselves, isn't it?" she asked. Her voice was distorted and chilling.
"What are you doing here?! I thought we eradicated you!" Golden Freddy snapped. Mangle just snapped her jaws shut and looked at him.
"I'm getting revenge for what you have done to the Puppet Master. He's been really angry." she replied.
"Wait, the Marionette's still alive?" I asked in a quavering tone. Her head whipped towards me and she slowly slithered over to me, her eyes searching my body. She lowered her head near mine and her eyes met my own.
"Such a hideous creature you became. It's no wonder that the humans-" she paused, her eyes growing wide. Her nose wrinkled and she lifted her head back up.
