8 | 'Carrot King'

~Janice~

I woke up to a bunch of talking and loud noises, which I assumed was coming from the kitchen. "Noooo!! It's mine! These are my babies, you eat them you die," someone yelled. Then I remembered, escaping Nando's then going in a van with One Direction. Well, this must be their flat. Hmm...

Looking around the living room, it looks like a nice cozy place. Well, a nice cozy place that needs major cleaning, but then that's how you know they're just teenage boys. I got up and walked to where I assumed the kitchen was, judging my all of the noises come from it. The sight was slightly unbelievable: Louis was leaning over the island in the kitchen, which Harry was on looking terrified. I mean I would too if I had to see the look on Louis' face. Zayn and Niall were laughing there arses off, and it seemed that Liam was the only one who noticed my presence. He sent me a soft smile that said 'sorry-you-have-to-see-this'. I returned it and went to pick up a carrot from the bag that was on the floor.

Zayn and Niall seemed to notice my presence as I did this while Harry turned to look behind Louis and shook his head in terror. Hm, I wonder why? Mind you all of this time, Louis was yelling at Harry, but I blocked it out due to the fact I'm used to it. Louis then turned around and saw me munching on a carrot and his face was priceless. His evil glare turned turned into a major frown while his eyes just screamed terror. I spit out my carrot and started laughing so hard.

Ohhhhh, I get it nowww!! The carrots were what he was talking about to Harry, and that's why his contact is 'Carrot King'.... It all makes sense! I started choking on the little pieces of carrot still in my mouth, and was now in a coughing fit. I saw Liam go into the fridge and get out a water bottle. He handed it to me, while I gladly accepted. "First of all, Louis your face was priceless! You should've seen it! And second, why do you love carrots so much? They're just carrots," I say looking at Louis who was now on the floor caressing the carrots in the bag. "It's okay baby carrots, she didn't mean it. You are just small orange people that don't talk or can't see. Shhh..." He whispered to them.

Niall looked like he was about to burst into a fit of laughter. His face was turning a tomato red while he had a huge grin plastered on his face. Zayn and Harry looked very amused, while Liam was in the corning muttering to himself on something about 'how does he live with these people?'

"Well, if we're just going to stand here, I would like to get home now before I get majorly punished to the point I pass out," I say looking at them seriously. Liam picked up his head, "If anything, and I think I'm saying for the rest of the lads as well, but I don't think you should stay there."

"Yeah, you really shouldn't go back there. Once we find a way for them to get arrested and somewhere for you to go, you can't go back there," Zayn said agreeing with Liam. "I said this already, they are the only source of shelter I have. I won't be able to go anywhere else. Plus, its not like I can just get up and leave; I have school to finish. Yeah its my last year, but if I get accepted into college that would be a natural way to get out of there. Again, you can't just get up and save me when you have your own careers to tend to. Don't forget you have a boss who probably wouldn't like that you're hanging out with some abused girl with messed up parents," I say getting frustrated.

"Ooooh, I know! You can get your stuff from your house and live with one of our girlfriends!" Louis says getting excited. "Um, Louis that isn't going to work.... Perrie has a career of her own and so does Danielle. Plus I'm not sure Eleanor would want to take care of her while she's studying at uni," Harry says.

"Not that she's not caring, just she doesn't want any distractions..." Harry adds quickly while Louis was turning to glare at him for what he said. "Wait, which girlfriend goes to who?" I ask. Harry doesn't look like one to stay with someone for long. Yeah, he'd probably treat her right, just doesn't look very committed. Niall, I just don't know. "Perrie's my girlfriend, Eleanor is Louis', and Danielle is Liam's," Zayn says with his face brightening. He must really love her.

My face fell a bit. I like Liam. I'm not sure of what kind of like yet, but I can definitely tell you I already have a crush on him.

I looked at Liam, and it looked like his face fell a bit. I wonder what he's thinking about? I wonder a lot....

Damn it! How could I forget about Danielle?! I was so focused on Janice and her abusive parents, and how pretty she is, and her scars... Wait!! I just said she was pretty!! No I can't like her, I have Danielle! But, she seems so nice and loving and outgoing and- Okay that's it. I guess I can say I have a crush on Janice.... while I'm dating Danielle... Shit! This isn't going to end well....

Okayyyyy, so I'm am sooooo veryyyyy sorry it is shorttt.... I really couldn't think of anything else and my other books and college courses are getting in the wayyy. I got a 50 on my last quizzzz -__- That's not very good....
