You Belong With Me (Completed)

"What's going on Camzi?" Camila Cabello turned around to see her best friend, and the star of the softball team, Lauren Jauregui sitting down on the bench next to her. She smiled at the nickname she gave her. She was Camz or Camzi and Lauren was Lo or Lolo.

"I just finished my math homework!" Camila replied, pulling her iPhone earphones out from her ears.

"Isn't that what you're supposed to do at home? You know, the night it's assigned? Not on the morning of the day it's due?" Lauren's joking tone was followed by a small nudge and smirk towards the smaller girl.

Camila felt little prickles of electricity run up her arm and multiple cocoons hatch in her stomach. Just that one touch caused all that. Yes, Camila was in love with her best friend. It's the same old situation that she's read in books, fanfictions, and seen in movies; girl falls in love with best friend but there's just one problem -

*PING*

"Hold that thought Camz," Lauren quickly pulled her phone out of her pocket and checked to see who it was. The name "Jacob Bennett" with a heart emoji next to it popped up, indicating that Lauren had gotten a text from him. She quickly ignored it, shoved her phone back into her pocket, and focused her attention back on the now confused girl next to her. She smiled. "Go on."

Camila smiled because it was the first time in a while that she's had some alone time with Lauren without the girl ditching her for her boyfriend. "I didn't have time! I was up all night looking for links for Sweeran's music video for "Everything Has Changed"!" Camila half shouted.

Lauren laughed. "You're such a fangirl Camz! Isn't the video only 3 minutes though? What'd you do for the rest of the time? Watch it on repeat?" The second Camila bit her lip and looked down, Lauren knew the answer. "Camz... You didn't..."

,"CAN YOU BLAME ME?! THEY'RE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER. I SHIP THEM SO HARD. UGH, LO!! The video is perfect... It's so cute and oh my god, I love it so much." Camila let out all in one breathe.

Lauren threw her head back and busted out laughing. "You're adorable Camz. Show me the video!"

Camila smiled and opened up YouTube on her phone. She gave Lauren the right ear piece while she put the left one in her ear. Just as she pressed play, the guitar strums were interrupted by the annoying noise of a vibrating phone.

Camila sighed, removed the earphones, and gave Lauren a small smile. "You should answer that."

Lauren smiled at the brown eyed girl. "I probably should." She pulled her phone out and tactfully got up, taking a couple steps away from where her and Camila were sitting. "Hey Jake, what's up?"

That was the problem; Lauren's boyfriend, and Varsity basketball jerk, Jacob Bennett. Camila couldn't stand him. He was arrogant, conceited, and even worse; he was dating Lauren. Camila couldn't even comprehend why they were even dating, she couldn't count the amount of times she'd be talking to Lauren and would be interrupted by an angry phone call from Jacob. Needless to say, that famous, infectious Lauren Jauregui smile would disappear off her face in a second, along with the sparkle her eyes held.

Camila politely put her earphones back in but instead of listening the angelic voice of Taylor Swift, she eavesdropped. Her day dreaming had made her miss the topic of argument. No doubt it wouldn't take her long to catch up though.

"Jake, I... I was kidding, babe... Will you just listen to me? God I can't talk to you when you're like this... I'll see you later and we'll talk then... I'm hanging up, Jake." Lauren ended the call, took a deep breath and let out a sigh. She walked back over to where Camila was sitting.

"Is everything okay?" Camila asked, even though she knew the answer.

"God, I told a joke!" Lauren threw her hands up. "One stupid joke, and now he's all pissed off with me."
