Chapter Nine: Betrayal
"What do you mean? The mission is going just as planned. He trusts me now." Lili said and leaned against Ross' kitchen counter, holding the phone to her ear. "Um, I'll call you back. He's coming." Lili quickly ended the call and slid her cell phone into the back pocket of her skinny jeans.
"Hey, Ross. How you feeling, babe?" Lili said and walked closer to Ross, gently placing her hands on his cheeks, stroking his face with her thumbs.
"I'm fine, I guess. I'm just still trying to get used to this, you know? I'm not used to being on my own." Ross said and put one of his hands on Lili's hip.
"Oh, Ross. Sweetie, you're not alone. You have me. Now, how about we go somewhere? You know, neither of us have left this house in a whole month, other than to get groceries and what not." Lili said softly and looked into Ross' eyes.
"Yeah, sure. I guess. Where should we go?" Ross asked.
Lili tried to stop herself from smirking when she realized that her plan was definitely working out just as planned.
"Uh, I was thinking maybe we could go back to headquarters? You know. I'm thinking maybe it would be great to see Blake and them." Lili then moved her hands from Ross' face and reached to grab his hand.
"I don't know, Lili. That place might send me into a panic attack, considering that's where my brother sent the majority of his time." Ross said and looked down.
"I promise, you will be okay. I'll stay right there with you. And if when we get there you think you need to go, I will most definitely take you back home." Lili said and Ross nodded his head a bit.
"Okay, sure. Let's go."
Twenty minutes later, they arrived at headquarters and Lili smirked as she stood behind Ross, leading him to a room that Ross had never seen. Everything was going just as planned.
"Where are we going, Lili? I thought your brother-"
"Shut up, and go in there." Lili said and shoved him into the room, locking the door. "I'll be back." Lili said with a smirk before disappearing into the hallway.
••hours later••
Ross was trapped. Trapped in an eerie, dark room. Lili did come back later, but only to chain him to the wall to make sure he wouldn't try to escape. Of course this happened. Every time Ross puts his trust in someone, he's always betrayed by that very person. Suddenly, the door squeaked as it opened, and there was a shadow of a male slowly making his way toward Ross.
"Tsk, tsk. Ross Lynch. You really thought you could trust Courtney Eaton, didn't you? Well, my my. You were extremely wrong. She didn't give a shit about you. She was just doing what she was told."
Ross backed up as much as he could, although he just found himself up against the wall farther.
"W-who are you? And who's C-Courtney Eaton?" Ross said to the mysterious man speaking. It was quite dark in the cellar that Ross was trapped in, so he couldn't see the man who was speaking, but he could definitely hear him.
"Oh, my bad. I forgot. Miss Lili? Wow. You are so gullible. Your family has had way more secrets than you could ever believe, Ross. Everyone left you? True. But I had a plan ever since you were born, Ross. You ruined my life, now it's time for me to end yours."
"No, no, no! Don't kill me, please! I don't know who you are or what you want, but please don't hurt me!" Ross screamed and put his hands over his eyes, not wanting to watch what world happen next.
"Hm, maybe you're right. Maybe I shouldn't kill you just yet. You should be tortured some more before I finally kill you. I'll be back."
