Kelli's POV
My heart raced as I walked away with girls trailing behind me.
"Miss. Zimman, you just spoke to Avi Kaplan. The Bass of Pentatonix. He heard us sing their song." I chuckled as I turned towards Lucy, one of the Sopranos from the choir. "I know."
Another girl piped up, "Did you see how he looked at you?" I blushed, "No, why?" She rolled her eyes playfully as she answered my question.
"It was the look that those Hallmark movie actors give the actress they fall in love with." It was now my turn to roll my eyes, "Okay girls, I hope to see you all again soon. Goodbye." They sent me a chorus of goodbyes as I began to leave the concert hall, walking towards the hallway and making my way to my room. When I finally did, I grabbed my already packed suitcase and my purse, walking back towards the elevator. My heart stopped as I stared down the hallway.
His back was facing towards me, waiting patiently by the elevator. I took a deep breath and walked down the hallway that lead to stand beside him. He looked at me and smiled before doing a double take and smiling again.
"Hi. It's so nice to meet you." I smiled at his words, and nodded, "Same to you. What brings you to a music conference, shouldn't you be on tour?"
"Actually no, we are taking a month break from touring. I do a thing called A Cappella Academy that will start in three weeks." I nodded as we walked into the elevator together and he continued explaining, "We audition different teenagers from the ages of 13-18 and train them for about two weeks at a college campus. It's a really awesome program."
"So I've heard." I smiled and exited the elevator. He followed close behind, matching my steps as I made my way to the check-out counter. As I talked with the woman behind the counter he stayed silent, his eyes piercing through me.
"So I tell you all this because I have a question, or maybe favor, you could say." His voice caught my attention when I turned back towards the doors, I stopped and look at him closely. His eyes moved across my face till they met my eyes again, staring till I said, "Well. Go on, ask away."
"I need a counselor for the girls and I need to have her by next week. Would you be willing to help me out?" I looked at him closely as he talked, watching his lips before moving my eyes towards his lips. I nodded slowly while moving my sight to my purse, my hands searching for my phone. When I finally retrieved the object I looked up to see him holding out his phone also. We exchange numbers, me telling him to contact me with the info and him telling me that he would as soon as he could. I turned to walk away until he caught my arm.
"Can I walk you out to your car?" I looked from his arm to his face, his eyes expecting an answer that I wasn't reading to give.
"You sure are asking me a lot of questions Mr. Kaplan." He chuckled softly moving his hands to his pockets, looking towards the ground, "But...Yes, you can walk me to my car."
He smiled at me happily, taking my luggage in his hand before I could protest and moving towards the door, me following closely as he took a left only for me to correct him to the right. He turned, swiftly walking happily towards my car as I unlocked it.
As I went to my drivers side and opened the door to place my purse inside, he caught my eye.
He was wearing a button up, black, with dark jeans and combat looking boot. His hair was slicked back into a man bun and his eyes gleamed happily. I smirked at him as he walked closer to me, avoiding the car beside me.
"So when will I see you again?"
"That all depends on you, Mr. Kaplan. I'll be in contact shortly."
