A month had passed, and Akirah still hasn't shown any signs of improvement. She can take two to three small steps then, she ends up falling. The voice keeps telling her to give up, but hope tells her to try again, and so does her spark.

At the Autobot base, she still feels as if she's some kind of a stranger thanks to the two-wheeler. However, when the others are around, she feels as if she's one of them, but Optimus hadn't made it official, for he's always quiet. Maybe they're being nice because she's still recovering. She wish she knew.

"You know that it's the complete opposite. You know they think of you as a useless bot. Look! Even Ratchet know there's no hope for you."

The voice never stopped trying to deceive her, to break her, to hurt her.

"They know when I can fight, or when I can go on patrol."

"Don't you need to be a member of the team to do that? Tell me, when was the last time Optimus looked at you and talked to you?"

Her gaze shifted from the medic to the leader who was typing endlessly on the monitor.

"He sent other members on missions, and he still haven't sent you. I don't even think he wants you to be part of this team. You're nothing but a useless bot who acts as if she doesn't remember anything."

"Please stop."

"I'm only saying this because it's true. I am the voice that will always be here for you."

Ratchet stood in front of her, cutting the unheard conversation between her and the voice. "Break time is over. Let's try again." He gently grabbed her arms to help her stand up. "Now, I want to see you taking four steps this time."

She nodded. The first step that was always a challenge for her was now taken easily, and so was the second; however she struggled to take the third.

"Come on!"

Akirah noticed his tone, he sounded ... bored. Well, who would be bored trying to get a femme to walk again? She tried to take the third step and fell; Ratchet immediately crouched down to help her up. "Please don't!" She raised her hand to stop him. "There's no point, for I can't walk again. You know that there's no hope. I appreciate everything you're doing, but there's no hope for me." She smiled sadly. "I know I'm only bothering you, and I apologize because I'm a big pain. Thank you very much."

"Who said you were bothering me, my dear child?" He grabbed arms and pulled her up; pain shot through her legs. "Everything takes time to be taught. Little by little we will make it, my daughter." He let her put her weight on him to pull her gently, to let her walk. She tried her best as well. Together, the third step was taken. "Now, the fourth!" She nodded. "Don't give up!"

Day by day, night by night, Ratchet was by her side, teaching her how to walk again. After that, he massages her legs to ease the pain. Day by day, night by night, the voice in her mind tells her to give up. Akirah does the complete opposite.

"You've done well, my child." Ratchet helped the femme sit down on the med.bay berth. She still haven't been given her own quarters, and she's thankful that none of them came back to the base injured. She wasn't trying to be selfish, but she can't stand for too long, and surely no one will help her do so. He smiled.

Akirah smiled back to the medic before he left back to his work. She was now once again alone until a yellow and black mech stood in front of her. Bumblebee let out a series of beeps and bleeps. Her smile fainted. "I don't think I'll improve any sooner, but hopefully I will be able to walk again, so I won't have to be useless."

He beeped again.

"Thank you for not thinking of me that way, but I won't lie, I feel like I really am useless."

Bumblebee made a sad beep then a bunch of high toned beeps.

"Hmmm~ I think you're right."

He again made some beeps and held out his hand.

"Bumblebee, she needs to take a break!" Ratchet called. "She's been trying to walk all day."

"It's okay, I think I can try one more time." She said, taking his hand and tried to stand up. Bumblebee beeped at her to take it slow. "I'll be careful." She began taking small steps with her shaky legs. She looked up at Bee, and he nodded for her to keep going; Akirah smiled once again as she tried with all her best. She tried to ignore the stinging pain while yelling in her mind, "don't give up!"

She kept her weight on Bumblebee for support, and Bumblebee was with her with every step she's taking. In his optics, she's his sister, and a friend he can talk to.
