Dear journal,
Today I have to get up early to go to cheer camp. Our school team organized to have UCA bring us some cheerleaders to lead our camp. I roll out bed and put on my green shirt black shorts. I put up my hair all cute with a braid to a ponytail. In goes my team bow and I go down stairs to make breakfast. I descended the stairs to the kitchen. I got a bagel out of the freezer and put it in the microwave. 2:30. While the microwave is running I try to make a water. As I grab my water bottle I notice a note on the counter.
^^^hey Campbell,
I'm going to be a little late today. I went to the gym.

I look over my shoulder at the clock. 8:35. Shit. Now I'm going to be late. I grab my bag and my breakfast and run outside. I walk down the long driveway and sit on the curb.
After 5 grueling minutes a Honda Odyssey pulled around the corner. I opened the door and jumped in.
When we reach the school I hop out and run inside. Everyone was at a table signing papers. Fudge pops!! I forgot my waiver! I run outside but my mom was gone. I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed as fast as I could.
Next thing I know my mom is pulling back into the school parking lot. I run to her with a pen. She scribbles all over and hands it back to me. I then sprint inside and give it to my coach. "Um, you forgot to fill out the insurance info." Ugh. The whole cycle repeats its self.
Finally after all the technical junk was finished we started the camp. "Ok guys! My name is Sarah and this is Brittany! We are here to teach you a few cheers and some dances, ok?!"
I've never been good at sidelines. They are the easiest component in cheerleading, but I'm not your average cheerleader. A few motions and high kicks later and we are off to lunch!! We all sit in a circle on the floor so they can officially dismiss us. Sarah stood up in front of us. "So there are two things we need to talk about. The first is ST. Jude's Children's Hospital. The hospital is free to all kids who go there. The families don't have to pay a dime. It costs $2,000,000 to run ST. Jude's for one day. If you get 5 addresses we can send things to then you get a special pin.
Also another topic we have to go over is the all American cheerleader. We will be having tryouts tomorrow. You will learn a cheer a dance and will show us one jump. There will be 5 winners. They are invited to go to London and represent UCA at the New Years parade."
Everything stopped. The whole room just became a blur. I could go to London!! England!! Every one was in the same bit as shock as I was. I looked up and saw Sarah's rep lips still moving yet I couldn't hear her I was too zoned out.
Sarah stopped taking and told us to stand up. We all put our hands in the middle one above the other and said "I got my right hand on bottom, left hand on top. Shake it like a salt shaker, drop it like it's hot." While saying that we shook our hands violently then squatted and clapped our hands together.
