Chapter: 2 Babysit

Havana's pov:

"So what brings you here?" I asked the blond haired, green eyed boy that was now standing in my bedroom doorway.

"Uh I was just you know wondering if you wanted to come to this party." he stuttered.

"And who will be at this party exactly?" I said tieing my shoe lace that had come undone.

"Oh you know.... People from school!"
"Oh okay cool when is it?" I asked.
"Uh at around 3!" He began, "Sorry this is such short notice"

"Oh no it's totally fine!" I answered just happy that he was even talking to me.
"Okay well I gotta go help kelsey with setting up decor!" He said turning around. "oh okay well have fun!" I said, remembering that Ethan had a girlfriend and there was no way he would ever like me. Ethan left, and I walked to my closet grabbing my jacket.

There really wasn't much to do except text Asia. I walked to my counter and grabbed my phone pressing the phone icon and finding, *🌺Asia🌺* in the contacts. I pressed on the flowery name and called it rung 3 times before she answered.

Asia; Hey Havana! What's up?
Me; I was wondering if you wanted to hang out.
Asia; sorry I can't I'm getting ready for this party.
I looked for my clock it was currently 2:30 Pm meaning the party started in only 30 mins.
Me; Me To I'm going to Ethan's party or whatever.
Asia; That's awesome I am too
Me; Okay well I should prob get ready. Bye!
Asia; Bye!!!

I hung up and walked to my closet it was pretty hot here where I live so I put on white shorts from American eagle and a blue and white short sleeve from holister with white converse. I finished at 2:40 I had time to spare. I walked downstairs and skipped into the kitchen. As soon as my hand Touched the fridge door handle the front door swung open, and Blair and Jack came barging in.

Jack picked up Blair and started tickling her. I remember when I was her age and Dad did that to me, I wish my Dad was here, he never sees us, Blair never actually hung out with Dad, And if she did she was to young to remember. "I'm leaving to go stay at Madison's!" Jack said running up the stairs. "But what about Blair and How am I supposed to get to Ethan's party?" I whined.

"You just aren't going I guess!" Jack shouted from upstairs. "JACK!" I whined again. "Why can't you just take Blair with you and me to and drop me off?" I asked grabbing a purple Gatorade. "No vanna" Jack said walking back down stairs. Jack nicknamed me Vanna when dad left, ever since then it sticks. "Plus Lauren will be back in an hour" Jack continued.

"This blows" I whined opening the Gatorade and drinking it. "Bye!" Jack said running out the door and leaving it to slam. "bye" I sighed. I didn't have Ethan's number so I Dm him on Instagram, * Hey I can't go to the party, I have to stay home and baby sit☹!* I pressed send and went to go find Blair.

I found her in her room playing with her frozen Dolls. "Do you want anything to eat?" I asked, "Yeah!" She said smiling and showing me her dollhouse. "That's super cool Blair!" I said pulling the hairs out of her face. "What exactly do you wanna eat?" I asked her. "Sandwiches and orange juice with chips!" She said putting Elsa into a plastic doll kitchen chair. "Okay well do you wanna help so I know what type of chips or what you want on your sandwich?" I said getting up and opening her Olaf and sven curtains. This child and her frozen things. She nodded and grabbed her dolls, we walked to the kitchen.

She climbed onto the chair and sat there braiding the dolls hairs.
"White bread or wheat?" I asked she pointed to white and I put it on the counter, "here come to the fridge and point to what you'd like on your sandwich and I'll grab it" she nodded and jumped off the chair, Walking to the fridge, she pointed to mustard, lettuce, mayo, salami, and tomatoes.

I grabbed the chosen objects and placed them on the counter. "okay what type of chips?" I said pulling out, sour cream and onion, Barbecue, regular and salt and vinegar. She pointed to sour cream and onion. I turned and put the other 3 back into the cupboard. I opened the fridge door and grabbed the orange juice and placed it on the counter, I grabbed a cup and poured some and passed it to Blair along with a small bowl of chips, and put the sandwich on a plate and put it in front of Blair, "How about some fruit" I suggested. "GRAPES!!" She shouted putting both fists up holding Elsa and Anna. I grabbed some and washed it with cold water and placed it in a bowl and passed it to Blair. I grabbed more grapes and ate some along with my Gatorade.

It was, already 6 and Lauren's still wasn't here, I decided to text Jack

To: Jack🍕
Where's Lauren she's still not here

From: Jack🍕
She's probably just a little late

To: Jack🍕
A little?! It's been 3 and a half hours

Jack never replied so I went on Instagram to see if Ethan saw my message, it said read at 3:04 pm. I shut my phone off and found Blair watching SpongeBob on the couch with her, Disney frozen blanket and dolls. I ran up stairs and put my Disney stitch pajamas on and grabbed my Eeyore blanket and slipped on my unicorn slippers, and ran back downstairs.

I jumped on the couch, and watched sponge bob to around, 8. "Okay enough sponge bob for today Blair!" I said getting up. "Why" she whined, "because it gets annoying also it's close to bed time for you and you still haven't brushed your teeth and read." I said standing up and grabbing the remote. I haven't ate dinner" she said folding her arms and putting her nose in the air. Right... Dinner. "Touché" I said walking to the kitchen, "Do we have to" I said jokingly. "Yes unless you don't want me to go to bed" she glared at me.

"Ill order pizza" I said going upstairs to grab a 20 my mom left for us. I pulled my phone out and called dominos,

"Ya hi I would like 1 larger pepperoni pizza!"
"Okay delivery or pick up?" The girl asked.
"Delivery!"
"Okay that'll be 16.68 and we'll need an address!"
"Okay! It's 9018 mully street!"

(Also btw I made that up I don't really even know if 9018 mully street is even real but whateves😊)

"Okay it'll arrive around 15 mins!"
"Thanks" I hung up and walked back down stairs. "Pizzas gonna be here in 15" I said hopping on the couch,

----15 mins later------

*Ding dong* the doorbell went, I walked to the door and handed a guy the 20 dollars and he handed the pizza to me. "Have a good night!" The guy said before turning Around, "you too!" I responded closing the door and locking it. "PIZZAS HERE B!" I shouted setting it on the kitchen island, and switching on the light. "YAY!" she screamed throwing the dolls in the hair leaving them crashing to the hard wood floor.

I grabbed plates and two glasses I hand a plate and glass to Blair and sat a slice on her plate and one on mine. I poured juice into both our glasses and sat down. "So how was kennedys!" I asked blair, "it was awesome we played, With lps and we went to the zoo!" She said smiling with pizza sauce on her lips and cheeks. Little gremlin had more fun than me today.

"That's good" I said taking the last bite of pizza and putting the plate in the sink, I walked back and drank the rest of the juice. I finished that to and tossed it back into the sink. Blaire finished a couple mins later. she hopped off the chair and Lied on the ground. "I'm tired" she said softly. I picked her up and carried her up the stairs, I walked her to her room and later her on her bed tucking her in.

I walked back down stairs, and picked up her dolls and blanket and sat it in the toy chest by the door. I walked to the kitchen and put her cup and plate in the sink and started washing the dishes. The door opened and Lauren came in. "Where were you!" I asked turning the water off so I wouldn't waste. "Friends!" Lauren said walking to the couch and sitting down. I turned the water back on, And began washing the dishes again. "Guess what!" Lauren began, "what?", "I got a boyfriend!" Lauren screeched. "Laur your 12 you don't need a boyfriend!" I said rolling my eyes. "What would you do if Blaire had a boyfriend" she laughed. "That wouldn't happen she's only 7" I said cleaning the counter.

"Where's jack" She said opening the fridge and grabbing a pear. "Madisons" I answered turning the kitchen light off and walking upstairs. "Don't stay up to late you know how much mom hates that!" I said sarcastically, "As if moms ever here she has been home since last week" Lauren said running past me. "Lauren you know she has to be at work 24/7 there's nothing we can do!" I said walking to my room and plugging my phone in.

Everyone was finally fast asleep and I was too.
