I woke up to the blinding sun. Damn i got to get some blinds. I dragged myself off the couch and took a look at the amount of boxes that filled the entry way. I quickly changed into some yoga pants and a white t-shirt. Without thinking twice i grabbed my phone and keys and walked out the door. I desperately needed to go grocery shopping. I can not stand to not eat food. It is a complete weakness for me. One thing i don't get is no matter how much food I eat I never gained that much weight. I always stay skinny with curves in the right place. My chest wasn't that big which I could give less of a fuck.

I turned the engine on and drove down the street just to be stopped at a red light. I took in my surroundings and realised there was a Safe way down the street. Thank God! I can just walk down to get my 'exercise' in, and then come home and eat like a pig after.

As i walked in I looked to see more girls in short skirts and high heels. At least some had the decency to not look like a clown...well just some.

I admired the girl who stood their looking at a rack of cosmetics. She wore some converse with ragged old jeans and a plain shit. I have always liked that kind of style and admired anyone who wear it. I took a look down at my own converse. I remembered when i got these with my Father. The same day we took my brother, Nathan, to his soccer game. I laughed remembering they didn't fit at first but my Father insisted on buying them. That's when i ran into something hard.

I looked up to see a boy dressed in black boots, tight black jeans, and a plain black shirt. Jeez someone likes the color black. When i took a look at his face it caught me off guard. He was very attractive with brown curly hair and green eyes.He also had a lip ring on his bottom lip and an eyebrow piercing. I had no words. I was never good with guys. I would always get tongue tied and nervous. I would start fiddling with my fingers and i would start sweating through my shirt. It was bad and now I'm here standing in front of an attractive boy. The impact of his hard chest mixed with his beauty completely made me speechless.

I managed to force the words," Excuse me, sorry."

He didn't even say anything. He just stared at me with his bright green eyes. I pushed past him and I could feel him burning a hole through my back. As i turned the corner I caught my breath. I am so bad at talking to guys. I finally stopped with my over dramatic encounter with that boy and went to the food isles. Hmmm. I took a load of food and placed it in my cart along with desserts.

I reached the cashier and I saw the boy again outside looking at me. My breath quickened and my hands were sweating once more. I paid for the food and pushed the cart out hitting the cold air once more. I tried to avoid contact with the stranger. It just made me feel more nervous. Once i reached my car i opened the trunk and place each bag inside. I took the last bag that carried the drinks. When i picked it up the items fell through the bottom and rolled down the street.

"Fuck! You've got to be kidding me!" The milk had spilled out onto the pavement which made me more frustrated. I heard footsteps making their way towards me. I chose to ignore it and continued to pick up the items.

A pair of black boots appeared in front of my face and I looked up. My eyes met his and my mouth gaped. I stood up and tried to compose myself.

"These bags are never helpful when you carry three liters of milk, you know. Here."

He walked straight forward and placed them inside the trunk as i did the same with the ones i held in my hands.

"Thank you." I said with a smile. At least try to be friendly Janni.

"No problem." He replies. I smile even wider now hearing his British accent. It interested me more by just hearing his voice. I looked down to see his arm half covered with tattoos. I almost gasp out loud knowing what my mother would think of such a thing. No. Don't think of her. I smiled once more at the boy and turned to the car while shakily retrieving my keys from my satchel.

"Are you knew around here?" He clearly could tell I was. I nodded my head.

"And you are clearly not from around here either." I replied back with some sass. I was feeling a bit annoyed by now. I just wanted to get home and eat and this guy is cutting my time out.

"Woah. Just trying to make conversation." He said acting as if it was okay. I was uncomfortable. He was clearly trouble and not safe.

"Well maybe i don't want to make conversation." I sassed back and stepped into the car climbing myself into the drivers seat.

"Calm down babe. No need to be feisty,"he laughed whiled sending me a smirk.

Without replying back I turned the engine on and drove out the lot and into the busy street. Why was he trying so hard. He needs to take a step back. I don't trust people easily and I definitely don't trust him.

The kitchen was filled with all the food i bought this morning. I already had a box of chips and 4 glasses of cold apple cider. I noticed it was almost time to work. Before i headed out here I would come out and seek for jobs before moving so I could pay for the apartment. I actually got two jobs because one is definitely not going to keep me here.

The book store smelled of air freshener. It was nice to be surrounded by books filled of ever genre. It excited me and made me happy.

"Hello Janni? I'm Rox. I am the manager here and since today is your first day you will just be behind that computer. If anybody wants to check out a book or return a book it's your job to take care off it."

I nodded as she moved her hand indicating for me to follow her behind the desk and towards the computer. She showed me all the maneuvers to it and where the check in books will be. I took a seat and look at my watch. It's 12:30 now is just two more hours. It was nice to see little kids and even teenagers coming in and checking out books. Most kids would not like reading or even get excited while reading a book.. That's what I like about books. They make you excited and they are full of suspense.

The bell chimed announcing someone has entered. I turned and saw someone I least expected to show up.
