chapter 1 Adopting

ZOEY P.O.V.

I sat in the living room waiting for our guests. I don't get my hopes up on being adopted. Everyone wants a little kid. Lets face it,nobody wants an 8 year old."Children,line up. The guests are here."Mrs.Manning said. We all lined up by age. We've done this so many times it feels natural.I saw 5 guys walk in. I looked at the one,he had short brown hair and big brown eyes. He looked like my father.Please don't let today be the day I'm adopted.I thought.

LIAM P.O.V.

When we walked in the orphanage I saw a whole bunch of kids from age 2 up to 16. Mrs.Manning,the caretaker,told us talk to each child. While Harry and Louis were talking to a little girl probably around 10 or 11,Niall and Zayn started talking to a little boy around 5 or 6. I saw a little girl standing really quiet. I decided to go talk to her."Hi sweetie. I'm Liam. What's your name?"she looked at me then said"HI.I'm Zoey."the little girl,Zoey said. She seemed really shy,but she has these bright blue eyes and short,pretty brown hair. After about 10 minutes of talking to the kids me and the boys got talking. I said"I talked to this little girl Zoey.She's probably 7 or 8 but she's really cute."The guys talked about the kids they talked too but we all agreed on Zoey."Mrs.Manning,we know who we'd like to adopt."I said with a smile.She told the kids to go to their rooms and we followed her into an office.

ZOEY P.O.V.

We went back to our rooms like we were told. I shared a room with the only person near my age,a girl named Brenda,she's 9."Do you think one of us will be adopted?"she said."Out of us two,probably you."I said sitting on my bed."Oh."was all she said sitting next to me.Out of the whole orphanage Brenda was honestly my only friend,because we are so close in age.We were talking when Mrs.Manning called my name.I went downstairs to find her and the 5 boys smiling.

LIAM P.O.V.

We went into the office. Mrs.Manning said"So,which child will you be adopting today?"I looked at the lads and said"Zoey."She looked at me and said"Well,there are two Zoeys here."I said"The one I'm talking about has bright blue eyes and short brown hair."she thought for a moment then finally said"Oh,you're talking about Zoey Gonzales. Here is her file to look through."she said handing me a folder while leaving the room.We were looking through it when Niall said"I can't believe this happened to her."Louis said"I know. At such a young age too."I was speechless. He was serious for once in his life.We continued to look through it,when we got ot the end Mrs.Manning came back in and said"So,are you ready to sign the papers?"I said"Yes.I am."After I signed the papers to be her legal guardian Mrs.Manning yelled for Zoey to come down.She came down the stairs and just stood there looking at us,when finally Mrs.Manning said"Zoey,you've just been adopted by Mr.Payne. Congradulations."

ZOEY P.O.V.

I stood there looking at Mrs.Manning and the five guys that were talking to us.They were smiling when Mrs.Manning finally said"Zoey,you've just been adopted by Mr.Payne. Congradulations."I thought it was some kind of sick joke,but by Mr.Payne's smile I realized it was the truth. The day i don't want to be adopted,I am. Great. Just great.I thought. Mrs.Manning interuppted my thought and said"Zoey,go pack your stuff."I ran up to mine and Brenda's room. Brenda said"So what did ratface want you for?"Ratface is our nickname for Mrs.Manning."I've been adopted."I said."Really?! Thats awesome!"Brenda said extremely happy."Not awesome. The guy that adopted me reminds me of my dad." "Every guy reminds you of your dad." "True. Well I have to pack my very few things now."

LIAM P.O.V.

I can't believe I finally have a daughter! I can't wait to show Zoey her new room. We're waiting for her to come back downstairs so we can take her home.Harry said"So Liam,you really are Daddy Direction now."I laughed a little."Yeah,I guess so. I just hope she likes living with us and I hope she likes us." "Don't worry mate,I'm sure she will.'Niall said with a reassuring smile.

ZOEY P.O.V.

I'm all packed and ready to go to my new home. I hug Brenda and head downstairs.I look at the five guys who are now my family,I guess.The one I talked to,Liam said"Ready Zoey?"I looked at him and said"Yeah."We walked towards the door when the blonde one took my bag and carried it to the car.  I smiled at him a little then followed the others into the car. Off we go to my new home.
