Chapter two:Crimson Wave on Christmas Eve

Four months later
Sam's pov
"HEY JESSE!" I tried to yell over Ella vacuuming her room.
I strained to hear her but didn't hear anything but the damn vacuum.
I stomped down the hall to the bathroom. I heard strange noises in there.....
Oh, I realized what she was doing. Then I blushed bright red.
But still I yelled,"Jesse! Do you have any pads?!?"
I heard a muffled curse and a response,"Yeah I'll toss ya one!"
The door opened a sliver and she tossed two pads out.
I must say, I caught a glimpse of her curvaceous body and tried to tell my body she is only a friend.
"Thanks!" I yelled and scurried down the hall. Everything was drowned in the vacuum.
I walked right up to Ella. "YOU NEED TO TURN THE VACUUM OFF!" She turned it off.
I took a breath."That vacuum!"I growled.
She laughed. "You're mad at a simple vacuum? Are you on your period?"
" Shut up! It's not funny!" I hissed, and she laughed harder.
" How about we go get you something then? The mall?" Ella suggested.
I huffed and nodded. Jesse walked up behind us, car keys in hand.
"Let's go then!" Jesse urged. We all grabbed our purses and strolled to her car, arm in arm.
One chocolate ice cream later, I felt much happier.
Ella seemed deep in thought, as Jesse scrolled through her phone.
" What cha doing Jesse?" I asked, curious.
She replied with,"Looking at girls on the internet." Instantly Rage and another feeling I didn't want to acknowledge:Jealousy, filled me.
Jesse looked up and started laughing. Her eyes gleamed and she smirked. "Your face when I said that was priceless! You know I was just playing Temple Run, right?" I huffed.
Ella looked up and smiled."Let's go to JC Penny's!" Jesse rolled her eyes.
" Girl, we been friends for how long now and I still haven't given you a makeover! It's time to change that!"Jesse exclaimed. She grabbed my wrist as well as Ella's and dragged us across the food court to Hot Topic.
"You know what," she thought out loud as we entered the small dim store,"We should get shirts matching our houses, Hogwarts I mean, and wouldn't that be cute?" I nodded and Ella's grin stated her agreement.
I started scanning the shop with her hand still warm against my wrist and noticed there wasn't any Hogwarts shirts in there. We slinked out as a group, grumbling.
Ella spoke up." I think we should just shop online. Let's stop by Taco Bell maybe, and then go home. Sound okay to you guys?" We both nodded vigorously.
She sighed, but in relief? Dread? I couldn't tell. With Ella, she knew most of my secrets and I knew none of hers.
Jesse smiled and offered an arm to each of us, and as a group of three skipped through the mall, our smiles widening at each weird look.
We left the Honey Dale Mall and Jesse drove us across the parking lot to the Taco Bell.
We turned into the drive through and Jesse turned to me in the passenger seat.
"Normal?"
"Normal."
She looked behind my seat at Ella, who nodded. Then Jesse returned to the speaker.
What can I get you?" The employee asked through the strange device.
" Yes, I'd like Two steak quesadillas, Three Locos Tacos supreme, one ranch, two nacho, and One chicken ranch burrito wrap, as well as one Mountain Dew, one Dr. Pepper, and one Sprite. That's all." She said firmly.
"Ok the total will be $12.84. Thank you." The male voice said curtly.
We paid and picked up our food. Jesse placed it on my lap and I had to resist that smell until we got to the dorms.
After what felt like eternity, we filed into dorm room number 23 and I set our food on the counter.
Five seconds later: what I call the Taco Bell Tornado. My purse was flung across the room with Jesse's car keys, Ella tore open the bag, and we wrestled for our food.
Eventually I got my nacho Locos Tacos and Dr. Pepper, Jesse got her burrito, Locos Taco, and Mountain Dew, and Ella got her quesadilla and Sprite.
Then the aftershock: all of us being quiet. We all separately had our mouths stuffed.
After several minutes of us scarfing down our food, we finished around the same time.
Then Ella cleared her throat.
" Uhh, Guys?" We looked at her, confused. She almost never started the conversation. She looked nervous and slightly scared.
"Yes?" Jesse said gently.
Ella took in a deep breath." I- uh haven't told anyone this- bu-but I am... I am.."
I put my hand on her shoulder and squeezed. It seemed to calm her down.
Ella sighed and looked at her lap."I-I'm um-uh I'm gay...." She whispered.
Suddenly I understood. The weird looks, the understanding and easy acceptance, her being strange lately.
I realized something else too as she looked up straight into my eyes, her chocolate eyes asking me to be okay with this.
I had a major crush on Ella Maria Panchett.
Then something else. I also had a major crush on Jesse Nicole Hanler. All I could hope is that they felt the same.
I leaned forward and kissed her on the lips. Electricity shocked both of us in a crazy beautiful feeling. "You made my day with that comment," Her eyes widened and she smiled brighter than I'd ever seen anyone smile.
Jesse smirked."Not awkward watching this at all," she said playfully.
I pulled Jesse to me by her collar and our mouths met. She smiled against my lips. I felt sparks. Her mouth tasted like honey, in comparison to Ella's tasting like vanilla.
Jesse got the hint and pulled Ella to her and they kissed passionately. I felt happy, euphoric, from both kisses. Both felt right. How is that even possible?
But doubts left my mind as I kissed Ella's neck as Jesse nipped at my earlobe.
An unlikely group doing the unexpected. But would we regret it in the morning?
