Chapter 4: Agony

Enjoy!

Jesse's POV

I woke up feeling kinda sore. Then I remembered why I would be sore, and I grinned, my eyes still closed.

I could faintly smell the scent of cinnamon, which is what Emma normally smelled like.

So I opened my eyes, expecting to see her beautiful face. But all I got was an eyefull of couch cushion.

Yawning, I stretched and groaned at my back popping uncomfortably.

I sat up, grumbling, and ambled into my bathroom. Looking in the mirror, I saw my makeup smeared, my hair a mess, and groggy smile.

I took a short hot shower, brushed my teeth, put on my robe, and reapplied my makeup.

When I returned to the living room, I realized something was off.

I couldn't put my finger on it, but there was a weird feeling in my gut.

I heard a small groan off to my right. Sam had awoken. I decided to ask her if she knew, possibly, where Emma had gone.

I turned to her." Hey, Sam?"

She said groggily,"Ya?"

"You know where Emma is, by chance?" I noticed as soon as I said it she bolted upright and looked around.

" Maybe she left a note..." Sam suggested worriedly, while biting her lip.

I nodded, and started searching the room for a note or piece of paper. Coming up with nothing, I decided to check the kitchen. I took a deep breath, trying to clear my thoughts.

Once in the kitchen, I instantly spotted a bright post-it note.

" Hey SAM!" I yelled." I found something!" She scrambled to my side and we both looked down at our small clue.

Jesse and Sam,

You are my night and day, in the best way. My life meant something to me, when you were in it. I hope you understand why I'm leaving. You two should be happy together, without me to stop your happiness. I will be moving back to my house. I ask of you both, don't follow me. I'm sorry for everything, and forget what I told you guys yesterday.

Love,
Emma

Sam gasped, and I felt lightheaded.

I ran to Emma's room, and what I found was proof enough. The room was bare of any indication she had lived here.

I sobbed and fell to my knees. She was gone... But I would respect her wishes. Now there was only one love in my life, and I would refuse to let her go.

" SAM!"I screamed, my voice filled with anger, sadness, hurt.

She tore through the door to me and hugged me.

And I hugged her back. And we cried, and kissed, with our salty tears mingling on each others'
faces.

We cried as one, for Emma was gone, having had forcefully removed herself from our lives. I refused to think this would continue, it would only hurt for a little while. It did.

Except when the creator of the hurt resurfaces.

How was that? I didn't proofread and I don't write good breakup scenes, so how did I do?

Comment what you think!

Love,
Pikachu
