                                          ~Darcy, time for school.~

Harry set his alarm for eight o'clock that Monday morning.

He woke up, stretched and looked at the empty spot beside him, sighing gently. He ran his fingers over the spot, smiling lightly.

"good morning babe." He said, kicking his covers back. He slowly stood up, throwing his long legs over the side of the bed.

As he stretched, Darcy ran into his room, jumping excitedly on the bed.

"Daddy! It's the first day of school!" She exclaimed, moving over to him. She was still wearing her Quiet Riot T-shirt he gave her about ten months ago.

Harry smiled at her with a small nod, standing up and reaching for her small figure.

"I know, aren't you excited?" He said, placing her on his hip. She nodded and melted into his touch.

The last ten months had been hard for both Darcy, and Harry. He couldn't help but wonder what it would be like if both Amanda and his little boy were still here.

"Daddy, is school hard?" Darcy asked, knocking him away from his thoughts.

Harry shook his head, looking down at her.

"No babe, you'll understand it." He reassured as they walked down the steps, heading into the kitchen.

Harry sat her down at the table, smiling at  her before going over to the fridge. He grabbed everything he needed to make cereal, placing it down in front of Darcy at the table.

"What kind of cereal do you want love?" He asked, holding up two boxes of her favorite cereal.

"Uh, Cap'n." She smiled, pointing the box of Cap'n Crunch he had in his left hand. He nodded and set the box down in front of her.

"You want to do it, or me?" He asked, grabbing two bowls and two spoons.
