Kari yawned as she slowly got up. She slowly walked to the kitchen and got breakfast. She yawned again as she sat down at the old wooden table and began to eat her small bowl of cereal. Cebi came up and nudged her. “Morn--“there was an explosion from outside. Cebi and Kari took cover as the small house shook.
“Th-that was weird!” Kari got up and rushed to the door. When she opened it she stared outside at the flames eating the town. She saw monsters blowing up the place. Kari shuttered. “C-Cebi!!” she saw one float towards them. “CEBI WE GOTTA GO NOW!!!!” Kari grabbed some of her things and they went through the back door and ran away as fast as they could.
“Kari. What happened?!” Cebi was carrying Kari on her back.
“Monsters…” is all she could say. Cebi’s eyes widened and she ran faster. Kari was getting a little scared.
“Kari, we have to get you out of here.” Kari was confused. She wasn’t special so why did she need to be treated like this? “Here we are. This should hide us for now.” They stopped at a cave.
“Whoa~~” is all Kari could say. As they went in Cebi started to make sure no one and nothing was on their trail. Kari was exhausted. Considering what just happened and how early it was who wouldn’t be?! She went and laid down on a big flat rock and fell asleep. A few hours later she was on Cebi’s back and it was mid-day. Kari sat up and whipped her eyes. “What’s up? Where’re we goin?” She asked Cebi. Cebi did not answer she just kept going. Kari groaned then saw something shining whoosh in the sky. Cebi saw this too and ran after it. what was going on? What’s going to happen next?
