Hey guys!  Hope your enjoying The Hunted so far...don't answer that yet.  It's a bit hard to since you haven't really read much.  Just a quick heads up though...I cuss in my writings...literally the first line of the chapter so...um...enjoy!

What the fuck are those things?!? They're human but not. I don't know what to even call them. The military men chuck the guy they caught in with the rest then slam the doors shut, wrapping a long chain around the doors. Then they drive away. Whatever these things are they don't want them coming out of there.

I check that there's no one around...and there isn't...the street is desserted.  I run up to the doors and when I get 10 meters from it the doors start shaking.  I leave the doors locked as it was probably sealed tight for a reason.  I walk to the nearest pole and start climbing up.  Who knew?  I would actually use the theory of rope climbing one day.  The pole doesn't seem to want to support my weight anymore as it starts screeching as I move higher.  I move onto the support beams and climb up using them.  When I get to the top I sit on the ledge and look in.

There are hundreds of them...from old folks to 5 year old kids.  I scan through the crowd and see that they all have ripped clothing and are paler than your average person.  They look as if they are all on the verge of passing out.  What happened to them to make them like this?  I scan through the crowd again and my eyes rest on a terrifying sight.  My mum.  My dad.  At each other's throats.  They're clothes are ripped in the same way everyone else in the stadium's is.  They appear to be fighting over a scrap of meat.  I take a closer look at the piece of meat and see that the piece of meat is actually an arm. Ripped off from a person. I am horrified and I throw up right into the stadium. The "its" in the stadium stop what they're doing and look up at me. My parents stare dead straight at me...I look them in the eye and they're eyes are dead white. They're emotionless when they look at me. They start to move forward towards me. I'm frozen.

My parents...what happened to them.  What made them like this.  They looked at me and didn't even flinch.  They looked at me, not with any sign of recognition but hunger.  Why Hunger?  Why are they like this?  What...why?  I choke back a sob.

The sound of rapid gunfire snaps me out of it.  The gunfire gets louder and closer to the stadium.  I turn away from the crowd of "its" and...it's not quite clear but I think the military are the ones shooting.  The military are shooting.  They're shooting innocents!  I scramble to my feet almost stumbling off the ledge into the crowd of hungry "its" and crawl over to the support beams.  I start to climb down when I hear a chopper start to close in.  "Shit!"  I slip on he support beam and graze my arms on the concrete.  It stings like hell!  The chopper begins shooting within the stadium and in the surrounding area.  I get down to the pole and slide my way down, then I begin running for my life.  I don't waste a second looking back or wondering what happened to my parents in there.  I get about 200 meters before my legs buckle and I collapse on my face.

I feel a sharp stabbing pain in my right leg.  The grazing on my arms are nothing compared to this.  My leg screams in pure agony.  My vision starts blurring.  Snap out of it!  I try to get up but I can't!  The pain is so unbearable.  Somehow I manage to drag myself up.  Not with any grace mind you.  I get up but stumble back down.  I look back and see that the stadium doors have been busted open from the inside...the "its"...my parents...they're walking or half-limping over towards me with that same hungry expression which has now been officially burned into my brain.  I need to move.  I need to get out of here!  Fear and adrenaline courses through my body and I get up ignoring the excruciating pain in my leg and I limp over behind one of he parked cars in the driveway.  I bash the glass open and jump in.  The "its" are coming closer.  I pull out the pistol from my backpack...I don't even know if I'm holding right...I break the glass with the bottom of the gun, then point it towards the "its" in front of me.

Everything from that point on moved so fast and blurred together.

I felt 4 bullets leave my hand and 2 bodies fall to the floor.  I lean over to see the bodies.  They have fresh, clean wounds through their skull.  Through the skull...I should remember that.  Clean shots to the head.  I didn't have time to stare at the bodies for long, the rest of the "its" we're coming closer by each second.  I had 2 bullets left and about 200 "its" coming at me, I had a bullet in my leg giving me piercing pain.  I needed to get out of there.

I bent down under the wheel, broke open the cover, pulled out the wire and tried hot wiring it.  The "its" were 20 meters from me.   "Shit!" I heard myself say.  I kept at the wires, the salt from the beads of sweat pouring down into my wounds becoming more and more of a distraction.  I let myself look up...10 meters.  "Come on!  Come on! Work!  Stupid car!  COME ON!"
