To the right person,
Let me explore you, open up your heart to me and place it in my hands. I promise I'll never be careless enough to let it break. Because I've felt the pain of a broken heart, too fragile to be fixed again.
Let me cuddle you when you suddenly wake up at three in the morning, screaming and I'll kiss you until you can't feel the pain anymore. I promise that you won't cry for the same reason again because I've been familiar with this feeling but had no one to comfort me.
Don't be scared, tell me your weaknesses and I'll tell you mine. I'll let you know why I can't stand the sight of the boy next door because his face reminds me of someone who used to mean something to me. And tell me about all the times you wasted your love on the wrong person. I promise to not be that girl.
Let me make love to you while I caress all the burns your horrendous stepfather left on you and all the scars of the battles you've had with yourself. I promise that with every touch I'll make you forget everything. Before making you fall deeper for me, I'll make you fall in love with yourself.
And lastly, let me love you with everything I have. But promise me that, like we've learnt to love, we'll learn to stay. Promise me that you won't let go of me when you see the darker side of me, promise me that you'll be honest with me. Promise me that you'll love me like I love you - unconditionally.
