A brotherly love

An act of a brotherly love - Draco

It was almost the end of fourth year and of course Potter had to survive the triwizard tournament. Myself and Hermione aren't happy about that. In the meantime, my sister is still a fox. I've been trying to figure out what a brotherly love is and I think I might now!

"Crucio" a voice snapped out of my thoughts. I looked around and saw my sister being hit by one of the unforgivably curses which was illegal. I saw weasley and potter laughing. I yelled at them for them to stop and they didn't listen. We eventually had a duel.

One spell which I never wanted to hear came at me, or more likely, Hermione. I quickly used protego at her so the killing curse can bounce off. While the spell was slowly dissolving, another curse hit me. I collapsed to the ground and let blood pour out of me. Luckily Snape and McGonagall came just in time to see me on the ground and potter and weasley wand drawn. Both boys were to follow McGonagall while I was levitated by my godfather with Hermione trailing behind.

As we got to the hospital wing, I was quickly treated but force to stay there all day. As Snape and poppy left, Hermione stayed whimpering with tears in her eyes. I could tell that she was upset that she didn't protect me.

"Hermione, it's not your fault. You were a fox, you had no choice to do anything. It was simply those stupid gryffindorks. And beside I'm fine see" I let out a little laugh at the end. "But Draco, you are my brother and I don't want to see you get hurt at all. I knew I should have done something at the moment"  Hermione was crying for sure.

Later at night I was released but had to wear something for my body. Myself and Hermione were very close, we never let each other out of our sights. As we were walking, a ball was coming up. I knew that I wouldn't be going because I haven't asked any of the girls out yet and Hermione wouldn't be going because, well she's a fox.

As the days past, the ball started to get nearer and many girls were giving me looks, as if they wanted me to ask them out. I only wanted to dance with two people, Astoria Greengrass who I'm going to ask out of the ball and my sister.

I was sitting on the couch in the common with everyone reading a book when Hermione entered. "Hermione, can I tell you something?" She nodded and jumped onto the couch. "Ever since I had to take care of you, I was filled with joy. When I found out you were my sister, I couldn't be happier! I guess what I'm trying to say is, I love you lil sis!"  I kissed her forehead and soon a blue mist surrounded the common room. I saw Hermione in the mist but instead of a fox, it was slowly turning into her human form. Everyone had to shield their eyes as the colour became brighter.

As soon as it was done, there stood a beautiful girl. Hermione had black hair with platinum blonde streaks flowing down, her hair stopped at her waistline. It was also wavy. She became a little taller but still shorter than me, her eyes were electric blue and her lips became red. She was thinner and everything was just, wow. She was stunning!  I was out of my trance when someone engulfed me into a hug.

"Draco! That was an act of a brotherly love! I'm back to my original form!" Came the voice of Hermione. Her voice also became slighter higher but very soothing and calm. Everyone then clapped and pulled her into a hug. 

Blaise eventually asked Hermione out to the ball which she said yes and I ask Astoria who said yes.

When the day of the ball arrived, I was wearing my black suit with my green tie and hair slicked back, Astoria was wearing a purple mermaid dress with sequins on top and a leg showing out. Blaise was wearing the exact same thing as me, and Hermione was wearing a high and low dark blue dress with sequins on top, a blue wrap in the middle for the cape thingy, and more sequins on the bottom. She also had a blue choker with a snowflake, snowflake earrings and silver bangles. She also wore white, almost silver heels. She left her hair down and walked over to Blaise.

All of us went to the dance floor where people revived gasped because my sister was back to normal. I was able to see all the boys eyeing my sister. Halfway through the dance, all of us stopped to get a drink and chat for a bit. Soon a couple of slow songs were playing before the ball ended.

"Hermione, would you like to have this dance" I asked. She nodded and took my hand. The next slow song was playing and a spotlight were on us. Hermione and I were both singing to this muggle song because well, I like only this muggle song and Hermione knows it because of her growing up. Together we danced and sang. It was one of my favourite nights I ever had!

Soon everyone had to leave the next day, but we could never forget the ball. As we were waiting to get to the platform, everyone took a look at hogwarts one last time. If you were graduating, you would never see it again but if you were coming back, you would see it again but you would miss it. Soon, everyone arrived at the platform and Hermione and myself got off.

We rushed to our parents who had tears in their eyes as they Hermione. Hermione hugged mother and father. "Welcome back to the family my precious little girl" came the voice of my father. All four us walked to the Manor to be reunited as the Malfoy family!
